Name help!

Because my husband and i are getting no where with names i thought i might ask you ladies!

I love Lila Ann his grandmothers middle name is ann so thats for sure. But he thinks lila is too close to our first daughters name which is lily.

Do you think its too close of a name? My nane and ny sisters are very similar and my mom always messed ours up!

If you called her Delilah Ann you could use Lila as her nickname.
Eta I personally don't see a problem with Lily and Lila.

I feel like those two names are way too close...But name choosing is so personal and at the end of the day if you like a name do not let anybody change your mind!

I think Lily and Lila sounds soooo cute. I also think I'd mix them up all the time and because the spelling is also close I'd give teachers notes for the wrong kid, etc. I like the suggestions of Isla and Delilah though.

We have a close friend who has an Eiley (eye-lee). If they weren't like family to us I would snatch that up in a quick minute.

I agree with PP who said if it doesn't bother you then go for it. My brother and I are known to our family as Roshan and Reshma (not our official names), which are pretty close sounding to me. Indians do this kind of ridiculousness all the time, themes, rhymes, same starting initials (our sibset is Roshan, Reshma and Ray). I suppose the acceptance of the cheesiness is cultural.

I think it's too close as well. Someone mentioned Delilah which I think is cute! You still get your "Lila" in there. Also, I like Ann for middle name (that's my middle name !

I think it's definitely okay. Sure it's close, but you'll likely mix their names up regardless. My name is Sherre and my sister is Carmen. I can't even count the number of times that I am called Carmen. Same goes for the other family members I have who have siblings, parents just tend to mix them up no matter how alike or how different they are. I think if you like the name then go ahead and do it
