Hemorrhoids??

A little tmi.... anyone having issues while having a bowel movement? It has gotten so bad that I am literally jumping off the toilet in tears....that is when I actually go and don't hold it in because it hurts so bad. Burning, stinging, feels like I have a cut down there...I want to take a stool softener but can't remember what they gave me at the hospital. I think it was colace....I am breastfeeding and they knew that so I think it's safe to take? Any one else find any comfort from this?

    Colace. Benefiber. Miralax. They all work great and you can take them while BFing.

    Colace is safe. Also, don't hold it in - I know it hurts (believe me, I know!!) But the longer you wait the more it'll hurt when you can't hold it in any more.

    Also, for future reference, we do have a postpartum symptoms thread where questions like this can go. Hope you feel better soon! If it's any consolation, my hemorrhoids have finally seemed to go away, between 11 and 12 weeks pp. It's different for everyone, but they will go away eventually! Be sure to take your medicine, eat lots of fiber, use your peri bottle, and use tucks. Good luck!
