Trying to Get Pregnant

Should I take a test?

The last month me and my boyfriend have been trying to get pregnant. We've had sex everyday.
I thought I was earlier, I was dizzy and lightheaded all the time.
But now not only that, but I've been super exhausted, like to the point where I lay down and just pass out. I've been pretty moody about small things. Mt stomach is extremely bloated.
My ear has been clogged for the past few days, I've tried using the ear wax removal stuff a couple of time and that doesn't seem to help. My saliva seems to have increased and I feel like drooling is almost the only option at this point. And the other day at work in the middle of doing things I had a metallic taste in my mouth.

Thanks in advance:)

  • If you think you are PG take a test. That's the only way to know.

Sorry didn't read your post, but to answer your question: yes.

If it's positive, no need to update here - just go intro on your BMB.

If it's negative, read the Ultimate Guide post pinned at the top of the board.

         TTC #1 --- BFP #1 5/15, loss at 5 weeks --- BFP #2 12/15, loss at 4+3 --- RE testing 3/16 normal, still trying for our rainbow

  • Please know that it is against the TOU to ask if we think you might be pregnant, and none of us can help you with that anyway.

If you're pregnant enough to have symptoms, you are pregnant enough to turn a postive HPT. If you get a positive, please move on to your Birth Month Board. If you don't get a positive and plan on sticking around, go read the Ultimate TTGP Guide.

Early pregnancy symptoms are very similar to PMS. I've never heard of clogged ears being a pregnancy symptom, though.
  • I didn't even read the question or replies.. if you think you need to take a test...TAKE A TEST. Why ask a bunch of strangers?

This read the Ultimate Guide post and pee on a stick already!

  • Yes you should test....if negative, you might want to see the doctor about the other issues though. Maybe an ear infection?

  • All I read was the title of your post.

Yes, you should take a test.

Also, OP, please know that we aren't being 'mean'. We just get this question multiple times a day and there really is only one way to know if you're pregnant, and it's not asking strangers on the internet.

If you decide to stick around, you can learn a lot on here!
  • Drooling. That's a new one.
  • @KristieA you owe me a cookie for the last "am I pregnant" thread. Should we go for double or nothing?
    Sure! I'm feeling hopeful today.

  • If you have to ask the answer is always yes... in the 3 minutes it took to find the site and write your post, you would have your answer already.

If the test is negative, then stick around and read the top handful of threads - these include the rules and some great helpful guidelines.

  • Clogged ears is a new one!

I would take a test. If it's negative, I'm sorry you're not KTFU. If it is, congrats!

Also, if your ear remains clogged go see a doctor please. That's not normal.

I'm new here & haven't lurked a ton but is it normal for this forum to have so many nonsensical "Am I Pregnant" "Should I take a Test" threads?  Even if I didn't know that it was against the TOU, which I do, I would never come onto an internet forum with cold symptoms or clogged ears, or excessive saliva and ask a bunch of randoms if I should take a test.

OP, if you have to ask, then yes, take a test.  Also, try speaking with your internist, GP, OB/Gyn, or any other health care professional.
They come in waves it seems. Like the plauge.
    Or Nausea.

    WAIT, am I pregnant?
Yes - my 6th sense says you must be!!!

What I don't understand is how people have to wait the mandatory 72 hours, and somehow miss the pinned threads up top. Especially the one with the word "guidelines" in it, and let's not forget the lovely "ULTIMATE TTGP GUIDE" recently added. I mean, seriously?!

OP, just pee on a stick. Also, clogged ears and the tendency to drool have nothing to do with HCG levels.

Now I'm obsessed with it! And it's making me so nostalgic. Last Unicorn is on Netflix, my SO will be so relieved to know we can watch it later  ;)

My SS explanation: Way back when I started tb, I was pissed about the 72 hour wait and bailed. I came back a couple weeks later and just jumped in. That was a BMB though and I was flamed for other things (WKing *hangs head in shame*).

  • One time my ear was clogged really bad too. I had a feather from my down comforter stuck in there and wax built up around it. I also was not pregnant. That's all I've got.
  • Just want to throw that one out there... from another board someone just asked, in an around about way, if a tingly belly button was a sign of pregnancy. Is this a new one?

I can see that. Admittedly I was a little peeved about the 72 hour wait as well, and didn't spend a lot of that time poking around on the board. However, the guidelines thread did catch my eye, so I'd at least read that before posting. I'm sure many of these "am I pregnant" posts are meant to be genuine....but good grief, they're All. The. Time.
  • Depends on the ear.
Right ear you're totes ktfu but left ear means try again next time.
  • Can we propose to move the start a discussion button somewhere below the guidelines? Maybe then it won't be the first thing people click.

That movie is stuck inside the DVD player in my shop. It's on repeat two to three days a week so I can have some background noise while I work.

PS OP- You don't need to take a test. The saliva is a dead giveaway. Congrats!
