Dr. brown bottle moms: when do/did you switch LO over to the size 2 nipple?

I'm a FTM and I'm noticing a lot of smacking and LO seems more frustrated when taking a bottle. I've tried size 2 but he seems to choke. What signs did you get that it was time?

My LO just started with the smacking too. He's 10 weeks old today, I was thinking of trying a stage 2 nipple tomorrow. He only gets 1-2 bottles of pumped milk a day, otherwise he eats from the boob. But I do go back to work in 2 weeks.
