One embryo, but embryotic cells are C

hi ladies-

I had my follow up appointment today, I had polyps removed two weeks ago and I am prepping for FTE once my period arrives. We have just one embryo, and the doctor told me that while the ICM (baby part ) of the embryo is of high grade, the trophectoderm quality (placenta part) is grade C. So I am feeling low...because this is what assures implantation. We did PGD testing.

I am wondering if any of you have heard of similar situations with success?

He mentioned we have a 50% chance of success and if it wasn't for trophectoderm quality it would be at least 70%. So it's not so bad, but I can't help but to feel discouraged.

  • I'm just giving you a bump! I think this is a really specific situation and it's probably unlikely anybody has experience with it. But just stay focussed on 50%. That's a great number and better than lots of women!
