Will any of you be surprised if your baby doesn't look a certain way?
For example, my mom always assumed I'd have blonde curly hair and brown eyes... But when I was first born, I had blue eyes and black hair. She was like, if I didn't watch you come out, I wouldn't believe you were mine lol. My hair ended up turning blonde and curly (in childhood- now it's light brown) and my eyes turned goldish brown. So, she ended up being right.
But, Id be surprised if my baby didn't have blonde curly hair because both me and my husband did as kids. Eyes can go any which way... I have light brown and husband has light blue/greenish. My dad is the only one with brown eyes so he through a wrench in it all, ha.
Anything you'd be surprised about?
Obviously, I will think my baby is gorgeous no matter what

Re: Picturing what your kid will look like
This one I'm convinced will be the opposite, dark hair and olive skin since DD is super fair. But still blue eyes and curly hair
Now with this baby I honestly just expect him or her to look just like DS so we'll see! I'm expecting blonde hair again although I have dark hair and it'd be nice if this one resembled me a little more than his/her brother!
I mean I like the way I look but I always wish I had blue eyes with my, now, darker hair.
I guess next one I just anticipate lots of blonde.
Oh if you have a baby with blonde hair when they are born the nurses go crazy... It's a little more rare I guess.
At least she has lots of hair, I see it as a reward did all of the heartburn
I have noticed that many babies look more like dad than mom at first, and I think I read somewhere (can't recall where) that this is an evolutionary thing so dads acknowledge and provide for their kids. Haha.

Even at 2.5, they're still his twin.
We are hoping baby gets my hair (very thick while H started graying and balding in his early to mid 20s), and His coordination/athletic ability (because I have neither)!

I also found this article that talks about why two blue eyed parents can have a brown eyed child. There is a link in there to an eye color calculator (wouldn't work on my phone) https://genetics.thetech.org/how-blue-eyed-parents-can-have-brown-eyed-children. Pretty interesting stuff too!
I love science! I find genetics fascinating!
Hubs has thick medium brown hair, hazel eyes, and olive skin. His hair was blonde as a kiddo though.
I'm thinking this little babe could have just about any color hair and eyes. I just hope it gets daddy's skin tone and legs (he's tall)...I bet those sparkling hazel eyes will be the winner though since light colored is recessive.
