Hi can anyone recommend an obgyn around lunenburg? I just found out im preggers with baby number 3. Ive had 2 csections. We are new in the area and im a little nervous about finding a decent obgyn. Thank you
I live in Leominster and use AFA OBGYN in Concord (they have a Leominster office too, but you have to have the baby in concord). They are at Emerson hospital, which is an Amazing place to give birth. The practice is a mix of OBs and midwives and the hospital has a wonderful new birthing suite that has a separate entrance from the rest of the hospital. The nurses that came to see me in the postpartum recovery rooms were so great, I even took pictures with them before I left. I delivered there 2 years ago and am using AFA again and delivering at Emerson in February. Honestly, I like the midwives at AFA the best. I really feel like they are taking the time to listen and answer my concerns. At my 13 week visit, the midwife i was seein couldn't find the heartbeat with the Doppler, so rather than just say that it's normal and happens sometimes, she took a lot of time to try to find it and then wheeled in an old portable ultrasound machine so we could see the heartbeat and wouldn't go home nervous.
When are you due? If your other children are in daycare, you should check out the new mommy group at Leominster hospital on Wednesday mornings (I think they still meet at 10am and can get you the exact entrance and room # of you are interested). It's for all new moms, whether it's their first child or 5th and their baby, up to age 1. I went when I was on maternity leave with my son and met tons of moms that I'm still friends with 2 years later. I'll be going back during this maternity leave too (I'm due feb 3rd).
