Desitin on diaper rash OUCH!

Anybody else's little one having a weird reaction with desitin? I put some on my little guy's diaper rash because I ran out of buttpaste and he wailed and I wiped it off SO FAST! His diaper rash wasn't even bad, mild of mildess diaper rash. It wasn't even medicated. The same happen to my daughter when she was a baby 10 yrs ago. Which is how I found buttpaste. And love it.
