super cranky: teething or growth spurt??

So my LO is 3 1/2 months old, she has never really been a crier or cranky. The last few weeks she has been super drooly, like her shirt is soaked kind of drool. The past few days she has turned into a SUPER CRANKY BABY! Like her whole bed time routine was off, she usually goes down no problem after her bottle without having to be rocked, last night I had to go in twice to rock her back to sleep (even though I loved every second of holding her!!) Now today, she is miss cranky pants again and is getting hungrier sooner?? Anyone else going through this? Or have any advise on what it might be? I was thinking either a big growth spurt or the beginning of teething?

Re: super cranky: teething or growth spurt??

  • I am going through the exact same thing - my LO is 14.5 weeks. Today was terrible - she was screaming like a crazy person and I couldn't calm her down! My sister said it sounds like teething and "try pushing down a bit on her gums (the front teeth come up first). If her gums feel hard, then she's teething. If u see any white at the top of her gums, that means the teeth are about to come through"
  • Probably teething. Mine is doin the same thing :)

  • It could be teething, 3 month growth spurt or the start of the 4 month sleep regression. Hard to say for sure. Whatever it is, know that it won't last forever!!
  • Same here, my lo is 15 weeks and this started at 13 weeks! I can't tell if it's a growth spurt, sleep regression ir teething. Whatever it is I hope it ends soon.
  • In the same boat! 12 weeks old and LO is drooling and spitting like crazy... Yesterday and today super cranky and chewing on my fingers, Paci, and bottle. From what others say, looks like teething has started!
  • Growth spurt. We are going through the same thing and no signs of teeth coming through yet.
  • We cant all have teething babies sooo im assuming growth/mind spurt
  • I feel like it's sooo early for teething, I know it can start this early but like pp said we can't ALL have teething babes right now!
  • Um...so does anybody have awesome tips for putting a teething baby to sleep? I heard of refrigerating pacis which I am assuming will only help for a minute. I remember reading about a homeopathic baby Ambesol but I need to google why regular Ambesol is a bad idea. Then again, I remember reading about how the homeopathic Ambesol wasn't good either. Hah...um, does anyone else feel like they have ADHD postpartum? I definitely do. Then again it might be because once I read sth interesting, my little ticking time bomb decides to wake up :).
  • Same issue bub is 14 weeks I actually asked a paediatrician if she was teething and she said she can't see or feel anything that would show teething so I'm pretty scared of what teethings going to be like cause this is crazy!!!
  • They just started a leap
