Under the weather?

I'm 17wk2d and have been acting like I'm getting sick..

Re: Under the weather?

  • It's not uncommon for pregnant women to get stuffy. But also, you could actually be getting sick. What's your question?
  • Hi there, yeah pregnancy changes the way you are in so many ways!! Do you feel ill? Could you give more information on how you're feeling? Xxxx

  • And? What? Your statement/question is unclear as to what you need from posting this.
  • Plain and simple stop acting.
  • Ah come again
  • For some reason it didn't post my entire thread.. sorry about that.
I've got a cough that has given me chest pains too. I got a prescription for the cough this morning, it is kind of helping. I was wondering if anyone else felt like they we're getting sick also??

Based on your update it sounds like you are actually sick. Your immune system is not as strong during pregnancy so wash your hands, get your flu shot and feel better soon.
  • I'm actually sick and it just got worse. So my advice would be to go to the doctors. I got antibiotics and antihistamines. Still coughing and sore chest but getting a little bit better
  • I got mono and strep throat also a uti I went to the ER and I feel much better now. I still have an annoying cough though hopefully it will pass soon. The antibiotics really helped me recover quickly.

  • Bit of a sore and dry throat, which is the perfect excuse for more ice cream!!!!!
I also have some sort of bacterial infection in my lady parts. The doctor was unsure what kind of infection so she prescribed me a cream. But, damn do my lady parts hurt!
  • DD had a cold so of course I got her cold. Nasal congestion, post-nasal drip, then of course the cough. Took Sudafed at night (would have taken benadryl but didn't want to be too zonked if DD woke up in the middle of the night), steaming hot showers helped loosen everything up, drank tea with honey, cough drops/sucrets, and robitussin for the cough at the end. Mostly tried to only take mess at night so I could get some rest. If you feel like you aren't getting better or its not progressing like a cold usually does, don't wait to see a doctor!
