No clue which is better. I didn't know we could make the choice. However, I had staples and they weren't too bad. They creeped me out and I was sore but I think most of the issue was in my head.
I have never had a c section but I am a labor and delivery nurse and most of our doctors use stitches that dissolve and the scars from them look way better than those from staples
For my first and for this one, my doctor uses dissolvable sutures for the internal incision, and glue for the external. I never had to have anything removed. My scar looks great from my first one (or it did, the hormones from this pregnancy made it puffy and darker pink).
I delivered via emergency csection on 7/21 (7 weeks early) and had internal dissolvable sutures and derma glue on the outside. Glue wore off in about 2 weeks and the incision mark (so far) looks great. Good luck!

This is what I have too and it's been pretty painless and seems to be healing into a very thin line.

For both I've had dissolvable sutures internal and derma glue with steri strips on the outside also. Worked fantastic, and nothing to remove as the steri strips come off on their own.

I just hate the idea of them plus some I didn't want to have to stay in the hospital until the were removed or worry about an extra dr appointment to remove them. I have also seen patients who end up with tiny circle scars from each staple hole.

I had stitches that dissolve on the inside of my incision and steri strips on the outside. Unfortunately about 40% of my incision opened up on the outside and I will have a clean thin line where it didn't open and a thicker like where it did. Though I don't really care. it's a sign that I loved my baby enough to get him out safely when things were getting ugly at the hospital. Never had staples though! Maybe some glue would have helped
