It was a productive weekend in the Sassy household. Sent in the preregistration paperwork, organized the NB and 3 month clothes, cleaned up the infant carrier, found baby's coming home outfit, made an appointment to update our will, and started shopping for a friend's baby shower.
How are you doing? Check anything off that list?
Re: To do list checkup
Doctor will be putting in orders to schedule my c-section and tubal ligation soon so I may have a date set for that sometime this week.
I'm still waiting on my ID card to come in the mail from my MCO so I can call and find out which breast pump will be covered and when/how to order it.
The car seat base will be installed next week and also that's when I plan to pack my hospital bag and DS's bag to stay with his grandparents for a few days.
Hopefully this will be a productive week in the Owl household.
This week we have our final pediatrician appointment and we are going to preregister at the hospital
We had a good weekend too, here's what we got done:
- master bedroom/nursery cleaned to stage 1
- bought new curtains & bedding set
- bought camcorder
- finalized registry
- ordered insert cards
- completed online birthing class
- freezer meal shopping list
I finally have a week that I don't have to be baking so I'm hoping to get these to-do's checked off by next week if I can.
- reorganize closets and dressers
- donate items we don't need, and put keepsakes into storage
- wash walls, window and blinds in master/nursery
- order in supplies for next week
- clean kitchen to stage 1
Waiting on cleaning bottles and installing car seat until end of sept prob. May pack bag this week at 30 weeks as I had a dream that scared me last night :-)
Freezer meals are coming along, I have meals and snacks in the deep freeze and continue to add as I go. This weekend was pumpkin muffins, banana walnut muffins, quiche, and beefless (vegetarian) stew! I was a cooking/baking machine!
Coming home outfits picked! One NB and one 0-3 just incase little man is a chubby one! I sorted and washed DDs baby stuff, pulled out whatever we could re-use for DS - we're good until the 6 mos range...
Hospital bag contents has been laid out, I think I have 95% of everything, just need to go through the list again and pack the bag...
Carseat has been cleaned and will need to be installed, but waiting for an angle adjuster for DDs carseat before we can move hers over and make room for DSs.
I also want to go through DDs toys and see if I can pack away some stuff (she's got waaay too much reign of the space we have with all of her toys). I'd like to tidy up as much as I can so that there's less to clean (and step on) once DS arrives.

I'm curious. What are the three stages of cleaning?
We moved DS1 into the smaller bedroom, and moved DD1 into the bigger bedroom (she and the baby will share the bigger room), deep cleaned and painted both rooms, and hung curtains. Tonight DH is going to bring down all of DD1's baby clothes and the baby's dresser so I can begin sorting and washing. All that's left for "setting up" will be the crib, but I'm not going to stress over that since the baby will be in a bassinet in our room for the first couple of months.

The crib is now put together and clothes/blankets are all washed and put away.
I toured two possible daycares and put in a couple of job applications.
I still need to get Curtains, an changing pad, & crib sheets for the nursery and make a couple of exchanges.....and finish thank you notes!
I also did some thank you notes for a little shower some friends threw.
I did a bunch of yard work.
I almost have our whole pantry stocked with dry goods after another shopping trip this weekend.
Stage 1 is everyday clean. Everything is put away, dusted, mopped and vacummed, etc.
Stage 2 is reorganization. I empty and reorganize all the drawers, cabinets, pantry and closets. Washing the contents as I go, getting rid of things we don't need, putting things into storage.
Stage 3 is sanitization. I move, rearrange, clean, rinse and polish all the furniture, hardware, wash carpets, walls, windows, appliances, electronics, lights, etc. Touch up paint, and anything else as needed.
