Anyone out there who is trying to lose weight to help with TTC? Has your doctor recommended a particular diet that might help?
I am doing Weight Watchers right now. I've lost 7 pounds this summer. I really need to lose about 20 more. I need to get more focused, and I'm sure I could do better. Just wondering if anyone would like to have a weekly check in to share tips/progress reports/ recipes. That kind of thing.
Re: Weight loss to help TTC
I should also mention I did WW a year ago and lost 20lbs so it def works. Even a healthy recipe post of the week would be great, WW related or not. @jennOK laaloosh.com has tons and tons of WW recipes.
If I try something more moderate, it goes soooo slow, and I get discouraged by so many BFNs, that I stress eat for one day, and bloat back up. And I'm short, so any bloat is pretty obvious.
I've been trying to just at least stay where I am and stop gaining. If I could tread water and stop gaining from stress eating, I'd be happy.
So, I'm pushing veggies, and trying to limit carbs. More or less.
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
At this point I am staying away from the extreme and just trying to get healthy, eat better and get down to a manageable weight that doesn't require 3 hours a day at the gym like I spent in my single twenty something's. I lost 80lbs that year I might add. Working over 40 hours a week, maintaining a household, toddler, husband and three dogs leaves little time for me. Hence....my 5am work outs. It's truly the only time I can go and waking up at 4am sucks! Skipping Creme brûlée Saturday while everyone else ate that and flourless chocolate cake sucked!
But feeling better about myself, having more energy for DS, my pants all being too big and seeing the scale dropping makes it worth it. I really just wanna be a MILF. Is that so wrong? 8->
I would love a weekly weight and health check in!! Good idea!

I am going in a little early on Sat so they can adjust the metrics on my heart rate monitor. My OB doesn't want my heart rate over 140 so I happy they are able to accommodate. I was so intimidated in the beginning, for the first two weeks then I instantly fell in love with the results.
I'm a bit intimidated after my first session, but I love knowing that I just have to show up, give them an hour of my time and they'll transform me.
