Lost one twin

Was pregnant with twins and lost one. Went in for 12 wk u/s and baby b had stopped growing and had no heartbeat. The dr said my body will absorb the sac eventually. I'm terrified and saddened by my loss. Baby a looks great but now I worry. Have any other mom experienced this same thing? I just pray that my living baby is healthy!

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss! I wish I could offer advice but I have not been in that specific situation. Keeping my FX and prayers for Baby A to stay healthy.

So sorry for your loss. That happened to a friend of mine and twin a is now a healthy 16 month old!

Yes it just recently happened to me. I went on August 6 for my 12 week appt. Baby a was no longer there. Baby b measured right on track and we got to hear the heartbeat. I was so sad. At first it was very hard being upset for one and trying to be happy about the other. My doc. said this is really common and he has no worries about baby b. All I can do is worry now! My doc. said this is called "vanishing twin syndrome". I googled it and read a lot of info on it and it has made me feel somewhat better about my healthy baby. I also told my coworkers and friends we were expecting and that has helped me to not constantly think about what happened. I hope your healthy baby continues to grow and develop right on track!

When my mom was pregnant with me she miscarried. A couple days later she knew she was still pregnant and I was born. Praying that your other baby survives like I did

Omg that's so saddening. I don't know what I would do if one of my babies died that has to be tough. I'm sorry and pray that everything works out for baby a keep your head up mommy.

My ex's sister was pregnant with twins and lost one. The other baby is now a beautiful healthy perfect 10 year old. I'm sorry for your loss and good luck with your pregnancy.

I haven't experienced something like this but I wanted to say that I am very sorry for your loss, and I hope that baby a is perfect and you have a healthy rest of your pregnancy. Much love to you.
