Most jumperoo's say don't use until 6 months but most of my friends have started using them around 4. Anyone made this purchase yet? Or received one as a gift? Which one are you getting and when will you put your LO in it?
I don't have a jumperoo (if I'm even sure what that is) per say. We have an exersaucer and a jolly jumper though. I'm not planning on using either likely until DS is closer to 4 months. Although he can hold his head up I just don't think he's strong enough yet. But that might change in the next few weeks. He will be 3 months next week.
Our exersaucer was given to us as a hand-me-down. The jolly jumper was mine when I was a baby. My nephews used it too.
We have a jumperoo from our first kid, but don't plan on using it until closer to 6 months. Even if your baby has good neck control, those jumpers really don't support them at all except at the waist. The whole top half of their body just wobbles around in there.
We have a fisher price jumperoo that says it can be used once they can hold their head up (no age listed) until a certain weight. He is just now 3 months old and he's already been using it for 2 weeks. He's had great neck control for quite awhile though and it just keeps getting better. I was a little worried at first so we put a blanket behind his head and I always sit right in front of him but he does great abd he keeps his head up and absolutely loves jumping in it!!
I put LO in the exersaucer maybe once every 4 days for no more than 10 mins (3 months tomorrow). She seems to do okay with it but with the amount of bouncing she does, she flops around a bit more than I want.
I've been putting DS in my evenflo jungle exersaucer for about 2 weeks, he just turned 3 months yesterday. He loves it! He had great head and body control. He doesn't really jump a lot but he turns around and plays with all of the different toys. It's such a nice change from laying on his back looking up, I think he loves just looking around and I don't have to hold him! I actually brought it into the kitchen tonight so I could make dinner. When he had enough, I put him in his bumbo. Then dad came home and took him to watch the Jays game!
Not one that actually bounces...but the normal steady ones that swivel I'd use at 4 months. If looking for a way to keep baby doing diff things all day I'd even put a 3m old in one for a few minutes with supportive blankets and constant supervision.
We put baby girl in the jumperoo for the first time yesterday (14 weeks) and she loved it! So cute to see her figure out she's making herself bounce haha.
Noah loves him jumparoo. His feet touch the ground and he stands and plays his piano. When he gets tired of standing he picks his feet up and sits and eats his hands. He is 15 weeks tomorrow. He has good neck control except for tummy time. He HATES it. He just lays there and screams. Unless he is laying on me.
