Freemies

I promised an update/ review of the freemies for pumping. I just tried them today...

Pros
They were very easy to use and more comfortable than my typical pumping supplies.

Cons
I only pumped 2 oz from both breasts (I typically produce 4-5 oz). I am going to try again tomorrow to see if I get more. Because of the frost color of the collection cup, it is difficult to see how much I am collecting.

So the idea is great. I just hope it works better tomorrow!

So this morning I got 4 oz on my left side and 1 oz on my right. Much better!

I'm not sure what you used before the freemies but would you say they're easy to wash and clean? I don't know if it's because I'm tired of washing pump parts over and over again but cleaning Medela parts seems so tedious. Especially with the connectors it's hard to get them thoroughly clean.

I have Medela as well. There are 3 parts to each cup collector and 2 parts to the connextort. The collection cups are easy to clean, the connectors are difficult to clean.

I wish they weren't so expensive. I have a hard time justifying the cost, especially since my pump was free. Thanks for the info!

I ordered but haven't taken them out of the plastic yet. The cups look huge... Like no way I'd get into my bra huge. Am I looking at them wrong?

Thanks for the feedback! Still debating on whether or not I'd get them. I use a 30mm flange and I think the freemies are 25 or 28? So I'm not sure if they'd fit right. I don't want to find out the hard way and then be stuck with something I can't use or return.

They fit in my bra, but they are pretty big. DH tells me I look like Laura Croft from Tomb Raider... Lol.

Um.. A free pump sounds like the perfect justification to me! ; )
