18 weeks & don't feel movement

Am I the only one? I read the post from last week regarding this but I'm stressing out!

  • God I hope so!
  • I'm almost 19 weeks and haven't felt anything. With my first, I was almost 24 weeks before I felt anything. After that, it never stopped. I felt like a human bouncy house.

Everyone is different im 19w+5 im feeling so much movement its kinda scary sometikes and i started feelin my little one around the end of my 13th or 14th week. When i asked my mom, because this is my first pregnancy she was suprised but said every pregnancy is different. Best wishes to both of you!
  • I am 18+3 and have been feeling little pops for a few days now, but I think I just realized that it's baby. I could still be wrong but it definitely feels different from gas and it's always after eating.
  • I'm 18+2,I do feel movements, not really kicks, can I find out through ultrasound now, bout the sex of my baby?
  • The first couple of times I thought I felt something, I passed gas a few minutes later. I'm at 18w and haven't felt a thing.
  • I'm 19w & 4d I've been feelin movement since 16w & 2d but over the last few weeks since like 17 baby has been off the walls lol kicking all the time. They have deft gotten stronger now.
  • 19 weeks and 2 days, just started feeling movement today and I have a posterior placenta so should feel it sooner. Don't worry at all.
  • I'm 19w +5days and barely ever feel her :( makes me scared all the time in anxiously waiting for my apt next week to see her and make sure she's ok.
  • I'm 19w and 2 days.. I've been patiently waiting since week 17 without any luck.. Now I'm just really desperate to feel something ..
I'm going to go ahead and ask a really dumb question - is there a way to feel the baby faster/more clearly... Any cheap tricks to make it shake it's booty harder for its momma ?
  • There are SOO many factors that could affect you being able to feel movement. Are you a FTM? Overweight? Has your doctor mentioned an anterior placenta? Tilted uterus? Or maybe you're just like me and you're gassy 99% of the time from this pregnancy and won't feel it until that battlefield calms down a little lol. I am 17w and have felt a couple movements but it's been just this week and they have been days apart. I think the reason they tell you not to do kick counts until ~26 weeks is because it's just not consistent enough for everyone until then. Also if you're pretty active during the day you probably won't notice them at all for now, and baby is probably more detectable while you're laying down to sleep, but the movement isn't strong enough to wake you up yet :) Do you have a doppler to ease your mind that everything is okay? That helps me tremendously!

I was actually thinking about getting a Doppler for this reason lol! I work on my feet 12 hours a day so I don't feel anything then but at home while laying down I feel little movements but it could be gas because, I'm gassy! I'm 205 pounds right now, down from 315 after my weight loss surgery 11 months ago.
  • I'm 19 weeks and 5 days with an anterior placenta, and I believe I've only felt the baby moving from inside once (literally yesterday). But I've felt her a lot from the outside. I like to lightly tap my stomach around where her head is or just drink orange juice, lay my hands on my stomach, and I can feel her slightly moving.

I've read if you're lying down it's more easily detectable...But also, I've felt movement just sitting around. I think the trick is to totally not be thinking about it and than BAM tiny little fluttery feelings in your uterus. Feels like fingers tickling the inside. So weird! I've only felt it about 2-3 times. 18+2 today.
  • I'm 20 weeks today and felt my first movement at exactly 18 weeks. It was small flutters but at the end of week 18 she was kicking hard and my wife could feel her hard kicks as little thumps on the outside. I'm a FTM and was surprised I felt her this early! She has been kicking a lot and doing somersaults most of the day all day. However I feel like she is so low that I feel her kicks down by my public hair. Where are yall feeling kicks?
  • I am 17+6 and I felt the baby three times last night. I was laying on my stomach - and I'm getting to the point where I can't do that anymore because I can really feel my bump digging in - and then I felt two little jabs from the inside. Then later in the night I forgot and rolled into my belly and felt it again. I guess my baby doesn't like me laying on my stomach.
  • I'm 18w and still not feeling anything. Im glad to hear I'm not the only one! I am def nervous about it, but it helps a lot knowing I'm not the only one.
  • I'm 20 weeks and am not feeling much.  I think I feel a little movement at night, but that is it.  But my placenta is placed low, so feeling it takes longer.

  • Dont stress. Everyone is different. I feel my baby everyday moving around but with other pregnancies it happened much later on
  • 19 weeks and nothing for me either... I was told it could be as late as 22 weeks before i could feel anything.
  • I'm almost 20 and have felt nothing...hoping it is soon!
  • I had my 16 week appt yesterday, I asked my Dr. if it was normal I would feel baby for a day, and then nothing for another 3-4 days. He actually told me I shouldn't be feeling anything until week 19, so I'm a little early on feeling him.
Nothing to worry about! If you aren't already feeling your baby this week, I'd give it another week or two.

19 weeks tomorrow and just started feeling consistent movement in the last two days. Last night the baby was rolling around and my stomach was moving all over the place. I could feel really hard lumps sort of coming and going. I also feel little pings against my low stomach at pretty specific times of the day. It's pretty cool! And totally strange!!!
  • I'm 19 weeks today and don't feel much. Just some little flutters
  • I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow and the first time I felt kicks was the night before 18 weeks. I was laying down in bed, kind of had my hands in a heart shape (with my thumbs touching above my belly button and then my index fingers close by my waist). My husband would put his hand on my belly then the baby would quit kicking but he finally got to feel kicks last night :)
  • With my first pregnancy I didn't feel any movement until 23 weeks and I had a strong healthy baby boy! Everybody and every pregnancy is different. This time I felt movement at 18 weeks. Don't stress out about it, just keep communication with your Dr. about all your concerns, but try not to stress out.
  • Try drinking something really cold before you lay down or something sugary. That's when I've noticed some fluttery movements.
  • Everyone and every pregnancy is different. With ds, I felt strong movement 15/16 weeks on. Street delivery my uterus tilted and with this pregnancy I have an anterior placenta. I've only felt ds move a few times and had I not been able to watch what I was feeling on the ultrsound, I would have just thought it was gas. :)

  • I started feeling my little baby moving in my belly in that last week. So at 19 weeks
  • I'm 19 weeks today and I haven't felt anything either and it's been such a concern. Plus, I'm so impatient I just want to feel him. He was very active at our last appointment but I just want to feel his little body moving. My dr said that she never felt anything until 21 weeks. I think it's differnt for everyone but I feel like the majority don't really start feeling anything til the 20th week. Hope you feel the baby soon!!!
