Charting Success! (TMI)

 Hi Ladies,
After lurking a bunch yesterday at work lol, I realized the reason my temps don't make sense is because I am a mouth breather( not all the time just some of the time). So my temps were super rocky and not very informative. I kind of knew I ovulated from OPKs, cm and pains in side/cervix being soft etc, but never confirmed it with temp shift. Today when I woke up to temp I made sure to close my mouth and "warm" it up before I temped. I finally got my high temperature! I'm 4 DPO lol but I finally got 1 high temp. Last month my thermometer broke so I could never get any high temps. I know I have to have 3 temps to confirm ovulation but I have so many similarities to last month that I know what day I ovulated.  I am very excited because I didn't want to switch to vaginally temping. I tried it once with my last thermometer because I was desperate and I hurt my vagina( I poked it) omg it was the worst feeling ever! Wish me luck ladies that this helps. I was also wonder if my retained( I wear at night) was throwing off my chart. Who knows. Sorry if this is stupid but I was very happy this morning

I've temped with my retainer in, and it doesn't really seem to make a difference.

I never want to temp vaginally either, exactly because of what happened to you. Yikes.

How long have you been off BC? My first month's chart was a hot mess but the second is looking much better.

Hmmm, I think it can take a few months to even things out for many. The closing your mouth technique could work as long as you're consistent with it!

yea, it worked today as well. There is a clear temp shift now

I totally scrapped my last cycle, because my temps were so wonky and low. I was sick most of the 31 day cycle and totally mouth breathed. Let's see how this one goes! Wish me health, hah!

@ HookEmNelson- Aww that sucks that you didn't have good data last month. I hope you have a good cycle this time around!
