Lazy boob

I can pump my right boob in 10 min and get 5 oz. My left boob on the other hand likes to take its time. It will take me 10 min to get out 2 oz but I eventually get to 5. I feel like in the last 2 weeks it got slower. I'm frustrated because I pump during my lunch break and I already wake up at 4:45 am to pump before I leave for work. Anyone else have this issue?

I don't pump often but I have heard it's really common for one breast to produce more than the other. I find I get engorged easily on the right but not the left so I think I produce more on that side. It's also common for LO to prefer one boob over the other.

Mine as well- my left is pretty slow. Maybe try feeding LO on your slow breast and pumping the fast one. I was just thinking the constant feeding on the one may cause it to increase in how much milk it needs to produce?

It ends up pumping 4-5 oz but it takes forever! I massage while pumping to try to get the flow faster

I'm an exclusive pumper and my right is consistently about 2 ounces less.

While I have yet to try this (but plan too), lots of pumpers take sunflower lecithin to help drain faster, reduce clogs, etc. It might help that side keep up.

I think they take 1200mg pills 3 times a day.

Mine are the same way.. It used to just be a slight difference, but lately my left has been less by 4-5 oz. it makes me crazy! I've tried to pump that side longer but still don't seem to get as much. I've also noticed a larger lump on that side. Doesn't hurt like a clogged duct so I'm gonna monitor it and possibly make a doctor apt

I get more pumping from the left but dd likes nursing from the right more so i thought that was the reason
