Am I going into labor? Gross deets, sorry. :/

Some cramping. Cervix was thin at doctors appt today. Several bouts of "tightening" or Braxton Hicks. And I think part of my mucus plug came out an hour ago. It was in the toilet though, looked slightly tinged...definitely mucus. (Again, sorry for the in depth details)

Unfortunately no one can tell you if you are or aren't. If your concerned that you are call your doctor and he'll tell you what to do... But no one on this app is your doctor so we can't tell you

I guess I was just looking for other women who have had a similar experience (such as what I've described) and went into labor soon after, or did not go into labor, either way. I see now that I didn't include that. Silly me.

Some people lose their plug weeks before labor. I lost mine in pieces during the 24 hours prior to the birth.

Time your contractions. If they get regular, closer together, and more painful, it's probably labor. Call your doctor. How far along are you? Some people do experience Braxton hicks for the 24 hours after an internal exam, so it could also just be that.

I will be 37 weeks on Wednesday. I've been having cramping on and off today, and many BH contractions, but nothing painful. This is my second child. With my son, I do not even remember having BH contractions. I literally thought my true labor was just a bad case of Braxton Hicks, bc I had read so much about them, i wasn't sure what they felt like ...that is, until they got so bad and close together, I couldn't move...and I knew it was the real thing. Also I had my son at 37 weeks...that's why, as I get closer and closer to that mark, I wonder if she'll make her way into the world, sooner!
