High-Risk Pregnancy

Newly diagnosed GD

I just received a call that I failed my 3hr glucose test. Not sure by how much- but I do know I feel like a total failure. I was 114 when I found out I was pregnant and am now about 130 at almost 28 weeks. I meet with my doctor Thursday to find out ways to control it- but any advice is welcome! I do not over indulge, try not to eat many sweet, though carbs may be my problem. Will exercise help control GD? Google tends to be scary, but I feel I can get some real world answers here!

Re: Newly diagnosed GD

  • Hi i also was hit wd that news at 8month. I was eating like my regular diet which constitutes of healthy an semi healthy foods always in moderation but was disapointed to get on a special diet. It was extremely hard the first week of it. But now I changed my diet to basically what they want for the sake of baby n me. Its not that bad. My weight has been constant instead of the growing by a lb a day. Hope this helps
