Re: Cheap baby shower space under $500

  • Most baby showers I've been to are held at a home, apartment, house, or otherwise, so I guess that would be the most inexpensive route. I would call local restaurants where you know there's an entertainment room to see what their reservation fee is.

  • I've been to some that are held in banquet halls of hotels.
  • If someone's house isn't an option, many restaurants would let you do it there free. My friend is throwing Fiesta themed baby shower at a Mexican food place, and they have a free private patio for events at no charge.
  • The space is usually free, just had mine today. But per person you have to ask how much and calculate that with cost
  • How many people? Is that the price you want to pay for everything?
  • We had our wedding rehearsal at Lou Malnati's (a pizza place) and it was $300 for about 30-40 people with unlimited soft drinks and pizza (3 kinds) plus a salad and dessert for everyone and they had a little party room for our whole group. And this included tip.

Are you hosting your own shower?

  • Try a library. A lot have big spaces for free available. Plus if you have some sort of book theme, Dr Seuss theme, book instead of card thing going on, it would be really cute
  • I would say a park, but I know Houston weather and that would not be enjoyable in early September.
  • Hundreds of dollars? For a place to have a baby shower? Woah. If you are unable to use someone's home, maybe try restaurants, or maybe a church? Sorry I'm not good with ideas I just think spending that much on a baby shower is kinda silly:)

Mmmmm... Lou Malnati's... must eat pizza immediately...
  • My parents threw our shower any they rented out the party/activity room at their church for around $50, maybe try that!
  • Yea I would just say a house or restaurant on a budget!
  • Most neighborhood subdivisions have party buildings anyone that lives in the neighborhood can use. If your community doesn't, maybe you have a friend that their's does.
