Infertility

IVF in NYC

Hi All. Curious if there's anyone here who has gone through (or is going through) IVF in New York.
Would be great to get feedback on docs/clinics here as I'm new to the city.

I'm thinking of Sher with Dr. Tortoriello

I'd really like to work with someone who handles "unexplained" with strong success as we've done 2 rounds and in the past have just been told its probably a numbers game and that one of these times it'll work... seriously!?

I know its a long shot but if anyone has input would love to hear from you!

Re: IVF in NYC

  • Hi I heard RMA NY is good, however my REI is Greenwich fertility they have an office in tuckahoe and their main office is Greenwich. Good luck with your journey. You should check out resolve.org to get some more info and stats on the clinic. Also on your first appointment ask as many questions as necessary check out your options and make sure the doctor listens to you. You want to get a feel if that doctor is going to really care about you. My doctor is amazing and even when I have procedures scheduled and she can't be there to do it she calls me to check in. I used to live in westchester but now I live in ct and I drive 1.5 to see them.

  • @oxinfree, although I am in the early stages about to possibly embark in IVF or IUI, my fertility specialist is top of the line and such a relief to know you can trust your doctor. He is George Kofinas of the Fertility Institute at Methodist. I definitely recommend them, sadly I may have to tsfr to the NYU Fertility Center due to insurance coverage reasons. ..let's just hope that this works at first....Good luck!
  • I would highly recommend Dr. Daniel Stein out of RMA of NYC. I am currently going to him and it has been great! We are preparing for N FET in September!
