Belly button!!

edited August 2015 in 2nd Trimester
ill be 17 weeks tomorrow. I'm carrying very low and noticed today when I got out of the shower the my "inny" belly button is starting to push out.. It is not an "outtie" yet but I have a feeling in about 2 of 3 weeks it will be. When did you "inny" become an "outtie"

Re: Belly button!!

  • I'm 27 weeks and it depends on how and where baby is laying. If he is sideways with his back against my belly then my belly button is totally flat. I think in a few more weeks it's going to pop out.

  • My belly button never popped out. It just went flat. I'm pregnant with baby #4 and I'm pretty sure it will stay flat too
  • 23 weeks and still innie.
  • Mine never popped out with my first and is showing no sign of doing it this time either. I swear I have the worlds deepest belly button :)) and thank the lord, cuz I get creeped by outies!
  • @kristib1027 LMBO you've made my night. Im an innie and it seems to wanna pop out but I don't think it will at least I hope not!!
  • I must have a shallow belly button.  it popped towards the end of my second trimester with my son and, at 14 weeks pregnant with a girl, it's half popped out already.  yikes.

  • Mine was super deep, but it's almost flat now and I'm only 14 weeks
  • I'm 17 weeks too and my innie has become an outtie too.

I'm 21w 5d, I'm ready for my small belly button to look like something other than that of a cats butt hole! Ever since my linea nigra appeared my belly button darkened a little too! I kind of miss my small and cute one lol!
  • I'm 21 weeks 4 days, and I have an innie still. Which is weird. Because I'm not really carrying all that low! :))
  • I'm 26 weeks and my belly button is still an innie. Does it make a difference? Anyone in same boat as me?
  • Never. My innie stayed an innie for the full 9 months with each of my pregnancies.
  • 25w and still and innie. Although, it was small in diameter but deep to begin with. Hoping it'll just flatten out or stay an innie.

This. Worst part is that it never went back to completely pre-pregnancy shape wither, even though I'm back at pre-pregnancy weight and in my old warsrobe. It's all stretched out and bigger now. Boo.
  • 25 weeks and it's not quite an outie yet not quite an innie, lol. It really depends where my baby is. Some days he really pushes towards it and it halfway sticks out and others when he's not, it's back to an innie. I have a feeling it will remain this way for the rest of my pregnancy.
  • I am curious to see what happens to mine.  I had an umbilical hernia when I was born and had surgery to correct it when I was in the 3rd Grade.  I asked my OB about it, to see if that would have any impact on the baby or me.  He said that it shouldn't.  I have what I guess you could say is an outtie, but whether or not it becomes more protruding or not, we'll see.  It looks the same so far, and I'm 18w tomorrow.
