Antidepressants....A little help??

So, I've finally got the call that I will trigger tonight. I will then go for my egg retrieval on Thursday morning. I take bupropion (wellbutrin) twice a day so I asked the nurse if it was ok to take it the morning of ER. She asked if I could skip it. Uh, yeah I could, but I don't know what that will do to me. (this convo was through email) I also don't know how that effects the anesthesia. How frustrating. They know I take this, so I don't know what to do. Has anyone else on SSRIs went through egg retrieval? Geez, like I don't have enough to worry about... also trying not to freak out that I will be under anesthesia. Kind of wished I hadn't watch that video of an ER...

I don't have any advice for you on this topic, but I just wanted to say good luck on your retrieval! I was just thinking about you and wondering if you had it yet!

Good luck with your ER! Although not anti depression meds, I was advised to take my anti seizure meds the morning of mine. The anesthesia is fine, it's a very short procedure. I would call the office tomorrow and ask for a call back from your RE just to be on the safe side.

@riveridgional thanks so much! Follies didn't all catch up as I had hoped, but it looks like we may be looking at at least 5 or more.

@Cupcakegal930 Thank you! Yeah, I figured I would call in tomorrow. The nurses are great and all, but I would rather take the doctor's word on this one. She did note, early on, that they weren't a big deal, so she didn't seem to think staying on them would be a problem. And I've missed a dose before with really no effect. Looks like you and I are at about the same point in this cycle. I will stay positive if you do!! I'll be looking for a follow up on your egg retrieval!

Thanks gals, other than my DH and my mom, all the other friends/family that know I'm going through this haven't even asked how its going. It's nice to share with you and receive positive feedback.

Typically, they'll let you take your meds with a sip of water. If it's done early and you didn't have side effects from taking it at a later time/skipping a dose, maybe you can have it after the ER? Good luck!

While not my retrieval... I had a polyp removal procedure 2 weeks ago (under anesthesia) and they let me take my SSRI, Zoloft, the night before. But I usually take it at night anyway. They also let me take my synthroid the morning of with just a sip of water. I agree you should double check with your doc. Good luck! I'm sure it will go well either way!

So, I had my ER. I ended up just skipping my dose and everything was fine. They retrieved 10 eggs and 7 fertilized. I think that's a great number. I will get a call tomorrow to find out how many made it and when we can do the transfer! Soooo totally excited!
