Yesterday DS (27 months) was a TW. He's big into his independence and picking out his own clothes. He picked out the pants he wanted to wear for his nap. We read a book, then all of a sudden he flipped out and went ape sh*t because he wanted different pants. Wear the damn pants and GTF to sleep. Things my toddler cries about.
DD has days like this too (29 months). Too freaking bad, kiddo. I know it's not related to this pregnancy, but can we PLEASE have a "Reasons Why My Toddler is Crying" thread? The other day my kid asked for apple juice, received apple juice, and threw a fit because now she wants mommy's orange juice.

Not sure if that is TW worthy though... hmm.  Well I did just return from Walmart, and you KNOW there are a bunch of TWs in there.

My supervisor is a TW. For starters, she just got the position of supervisor about two weeks ago. She was gone for a month because she was in rehab, came back, and got promoted. Now she's back and acts like she runs the place. No one except the manger (obviously) thinks she should have been promoted. Not even the general manager trusts her to run the place by herself so she isn't allowed to work nights. She sits there and bosses everyone around. She expects me to do everything. She threw a fit because I had to leave 30 minutes early yesterday to make it to the hospital to get blood work done. Then the other day when we had a huge line of maybe 30+ people, she left to take lunch. I never get my lunch until 2 hours after the scheduled time. She goes 20 minutes over when she's suppose to take lunch and she'll start complaining saying she can't handle it and she's going to "pass out". She also gets so mad when I sit for even a second because "she doesn't get a desk to sit down at and she's a supervisor" TW!

I've noticed that people promoted to supervisor/manager are *rarely* there because they're actually good at their job/managing people/scheduling/etc. I think I can count on one hand the good managers I've had in my 15 years of working.
  • WHO GOT TWO ACTIVE MEMBERS BANNED?!?! So much fury
  • I honestly thought that the bump was supposed to be a positive environment but all I see are snarky responses from the same people. We are grown women why does it have to be so f'ed up like this? I mean it just seems so high school at times yes the skinny post was irritating to me also b/c it did seem braggy but other posts where people have different opinions on like baby showers some of you just attack at once in a group. I don't care if you call me a WK but it's sad that it has to be like that I'm just happy to have made it this far in my pregnancy some of you seem so mean and angry. Women should encourage and help one another here not tear each other down.

Why is this in the TW thread? Are you saying the regular members are TWs?

We're all happy to be here, this far. We are getting nice and cozy with each other. It's not effed up to have certain expectations regarding posts. And it's not effed up that we share our opinions about baby showers and gender guesses...it's a public forum. Not everyone has to have the same opinion, there can be an adult conversation about it... If it's an adult topic.

It is a public forum so if someone wants to inquire about if other women have gained weight or not then they are also entitled to post about that.

  • My boobs are TWs because they won't stop hurting and I can't get comfortable. I think I'm going to have to put an ice pack on them again...

@msrere1985 they are allowed to inquire about it. It's just best to do it in pleasant way or have a point to the post. If someone needed advice about getting extra calories in or certain exercises the reception would be completely different. If the OP is just looking to compare it's not constructive to the community.

I don't normally touch weight threads because i think it's a bad thing to obsess over or compare with others about. Weight is a touchy subject for even the fittest of women. We all know what we need work on - we all have doctors to let us know if there is a concern about our lack of weight gain or rapid weight gain.

I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just letting you know why these types of things leave a bad taste in most members mouths,

Well thank you for responding in a respectful way to me thank you and no I wasn't calling anyone a TW I just feel bad for the OP she did mention that she has an eating disorder and I guess she just wanted to know if anyone else was dealing with no weight gain. I hate to see people who have serious issues like that get attacked. Thanks again.

@msrere1985 It wasn't really the OP that caused the stink...it was another woman who commented. I hope you understand that most of the women on here are pretty fired up right now because of that weight thread....we lost two frequently contributing members who most of us enjoy "internetting" with because they were standing up to a woman who decided to stir the pot by saying some not so nice things. The OP would have had better luck if she'd let us know what kind of support she was looking for....instead it invited arguments about body shaming and bullying. Edit to add: I try to be respectful. Thank you. I just wanted you to see the bigger picture... This isn't just a support group. it's gotten closer knit.

I don't believe the OP never said she had an ED. A few of our regulars said they had EDs in their responses but as far as I know that is all.

  • My dog is a TW. She waited until I was in the bathroom to sneak into the kitchen and get the vacuum filter off the sink where I left it to dry. She then tore it into 14 tiny pieces. =\
  • The PS4 gaming system is a TW. :-w
DH plays his stupid games all the time, for hours on end.. It's so frustrating.
Nine O'clock at night and I would like to be relaxing, maybe watching a show or something together before going to bed. NOT listening to him talk to his buddy and yell at the TV screen when he doesn't get his kill on call of duty.

If it wasn't such an expensive piece of equipment and our only way of watching tv in our bedroom. I swear that thing would have an accident and fall off the tv stand while DH is at work..
  • I've unplugged the Xbox before and hidden the controller lol

When we bought our house, I specifically looked for one with a basement so that my SS could have a place to yell at the Xbox without disturbing my peace. I understand your pain.
