I am 19 weeks and still unsure of the sex. We have a boy's name picked out (Atticus Gray), however, a girl's name seems to be impossible. Some names I love are...
Vada (pronounced vay-da)
Kendall
Rory
Klea
However the hubs isn't sold on any. He really likes Maggie but it's too common for my liking.
Some we both kind of like but aren't sold on are Elliot, Breanna, & Adelaide.
Any ideas or suggestions would be excellent! Feel like I've exhausted my resources and am not finding anything helpful on the boards so far.
Thanks ladies!
Re: Dead End
Other thoughts on compromise - Aurora or Lorelei nn Rory?
Sorry but I hate Kendall and Klea.
Vada makes me think of my girl
How about Magnolia nn Maggie?

Other suggestions based on your maybes:
Brenna
Victoria
Aurora
Corinne
Madeleine
Keira
Kendra
Ciara

I love Veda, spelt this way. I don't read Vada in my head the way you wrote how you want to pronounce it.
Kendall - I only think of that play boy bunny who wrote two books. (Is much more common than Maggie, IMO)
Rory - Isn't gender neutral. Rory is a masculine name, suited best for someone with a penis. (Same with Elliot)
Klea is pretty. However, I would suggest spelling it Clea, the K seems really trendy and less aesthetically pleasing.
I think I say this all the time here, but I can't help it. I love the name Adelaide. Veda Adelaide is pretty, but the double a's are throwing me off a bit.
What are your thoughts on the name Magnolia? Maggie is such a sweet nickname, but I understand your lack of immediate love for Margaret.
Carys
Ivy
Thea
Mallory
Annalise
Adelaide isn't bad but nms. I agree Elliot & Rory are too masculine for my liking.
Other suggestions:
Vera
Mable
Maisie
Colette
Calista
Kai
Leilani
In the English language when "v" and "a" are together at the beginning of a word, the "a" is a short "a," as in valley or valet.
I love the name but I think Veda, as others have suggested, will result is people saying it how you want. Just IMO:)
I also like Klea. I actually know a Clea and love this spelling, too!
In both cases, Maggie is less common than Kendall or Rory.
I DO like Vada though. Clea, spelled right, is quite nice too. While I am a fan of Clea DuVall, my vote goes to Vada.
