I'm 10w3d; I too have given in to the maternity clothes and belly bands just for comfort. There is no sense fighting the inevitable. Baby is going to keep on growing, you may as well be comfortable while it happens.
I haven't buttoned or zipped my pants since about week 8?? Bella band FTW because I was getting really tired of wearing leggings or skirts/dresses. I just wanted some jeans on, dang it!
My pants stopped fitting mid-week last week. I was trying to push it as long as I could. I have been wearing yoga pants, skirts, dresses and this weekend just broke out my maternity shorts. Last time, I made it to 14 weeks before making the switch. And I am definitely showing more this time at 12 weeks than I was last time....so no shame at this point.
Ha! I am 11 weeks tomorrow and my pants have been tight for a while. I'm sitting here in maternity jeans as I type. FYI I only have one baby in there!
One thing I learned the last time i was pg: A LOT of people (but especially men) have no concept of how big you are related to how far along. I got the increasingly obnoxious "you're about to pop!" as early as my 2nd trimester....*facepalm*
My MIL told me my shorts weren't fitting and if I needed to buy some maternity clothes . I am 12 weeks today and have been in maternity pants for a week or a belly band This is my first and I haven't gained more than 4 pounds! It was inevitable

This is very true! I had this happen to me and a cousins baby shower (she was 6 weeks ahead of me) and I got offended. Poor old lady had no clue.
The only pants I'm wearing are my ABU pants, using the hair tie trick. Good thing my blouse covers it. Most days I look fat in my flight suit but it's a whole lot more comfortable. Think I'll need to order my maternity uniform pretty soon here. Yay for stretchy!
I started wearing maternity pants at 11 weeks with a singleton. I've only gained 4 lbs in first tri but I just can't deal with tight clothes right now esp w/constipation and nausea!
I'm stubbornly staying in my regular clothes as long as possible because I know I'll be sick of my maternity clothes come February. It's fine in the morning but I'm breaking out the hair ties in the afternoons.
I've been wearing maternity work pants for about two weeks and when I'm home, I'm living in dresses, stretchy skirts, and leggings or comfy shorts. I'm 13W today and have only gained 2lbs, but everything feels super tight and uncomfortable.
Around 8 weeks I was so bloated I broke out the elastawaste pants. But now I'm almost 13 weeks and the bloat is gone. I'm back in regular pants again lol. I'm smaller than I was with my first at this time. But last night I started feeling my muscles stretching and pulling plus all day today. so I'll probably pop soon. With my first I was definitely showing by now. That kid seemed to require a lot of space.
This is my 3rd and I was not prepared for how bloated I would be so early on; it was crazy. I felt so stupid to have to bust out my maternity clothes early, knowing it wan't baby. I just could not take pressure on my stomach from my regular jeans any longer!
I have some pants that I don't really like. I think I will google how to make maternity pants and give it a shot. Definitely don't want to work all day in tight, uncomfortable clothing. I am not a big fan of skirts.
The comments I am getting are pretty much the reverse of everyone else's. Yesterday someone (my BFF's MIL) accused me of lying about being pregnant because my pants are falling off and I've lost 15 lbs in the last couple of weeks... I wanted to slap the old lady.
Well, your first problem was complaining to a man. I don't care how great/supportive of a person they are, men (and most women who have never been pregnant, for that matter) have no concept of what our bodies feel like while pregnant.
I'm 12w5d with twins. None of my regular pants fit anymore. This isn't my first pregnancy, but I had to dig out my maternity short and pants about two weeks ago. Ps- Men should never comment on these things!
Haha, typical guy response! I have danskin yoga pants in like every color and I wear them proudly! I haven't gained any weight, but the bloat does not like my jeans! Haha!

I am 13w5d, and having only one and I have lost 4-6 lbs since my BFP. I had to go buy 2 bebands from Target over the weekend so I didn't feel like I was going to die in pants. I'm starting to get a tiny bump that is no longer suck-in-able so I guess I'll go with it.

Girl, twins make you grow bigger faster. Belly bands are a life saver. This is baby #3 for me, and no twins, but I'm a small person and already having problems fitting in my favorite jeans at 10w. My first, I dealt with people making rude comments that I didn't look pregnant at all. Now, I know I'll get big faster, and I'm good with that. Don't let ANYONE drag you down.
I already cleared my closet of all non-maternity pants, shorts, and non-loose clothing. Thankfully I can get away with loose dresses and skirts for the rest of summer and then it's all maternity clothes for me. This is baby #3 and I'm definitely showing. I even got asked by a stranger this weekend if it was twins when I told her my due date. :-/
I'm 14 weeks. Tried on my jeggings yesterday and they wouldn't go up past mid thigh. I've hardly put on any weight on the scale so I'm finding it hard to believe that my thighs have really expanded. I didn't realise they grew bigger during pregnancy. My belly is still pretty normal looking so was expecting my jeans to fit.

For many (most?) women, your hips will get wider during pregnancy and often stay that way.

My hips definitely got wider with my first pregnancy and stayed that way. I lost all the baby weight from my first pregnancy but still wasn't able to get back into some of my jeans. I don't even think if I lost another 15 pounds I would even be able to get back into them.
Side note, my thighs and butt got wayyyy bigger with my first. I had zero stretch marks on my stomach but my upper and inner thighs and my butt are full of them. Ugh.
