Has anyone tried the Tortle for flat head syndrome?

My son is 3 months and LOVES playing on his kick and play mat. Pretty sure the mirror on it got the first little giggle. We let him play on it because he is so happy when he does. But, I noticed him starting to get a bit of a flat spot on the back of his head. My MIL and DH thought I was crazy and worrying too much. Yesterday, I was holding him and DH could see where his head is getting flat from several feet away. We got him an exersaucer hoping another toy where he isn't laying on his back would help. He tolerates that about as much as tummy time which usually only last about 3-5 minutes before he is screaming. I saw the Tortle at ToysRus and am probably going to get it today to try. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it? Is it worth the time? I am wanting to avoid him having to wear a helmet.

If the flat spot is in the back, the tortle won't help. Its for plagiocephaly which is flatness on the side.

I noticed a very slight flat spot forming on the back of ds head. I got the boppy noggin nest to use on his play mat. I have also been using it in his crib but he is getting more mobile so I'm going to stop using it in the crib soon. I've been using it for probably 3 weeks. I don't think it has gotten any better but it has not gotten any worse either.
