Hello I'm 24 weeks and 4 days pregnant. On the 22 week mark i had an ultrasound and they said my son measured 11.8 in and weighed 1lb. 2 oz. Everyone else is saying that's the average weight he should be now. How much did your baby weigh around this time? Is my due date off lol? Let me know what yah think.

Lurking from 1st Tri - According to The Bump Pregnancy Week by Week Updates, from week 22 trhough week 24 show a range of weight from 12.7 ounces- 20.8 ounces (1 lb 4.8 ounces), I'd say you are right on track.

No one else's experience is going to mean anything for you. Your body and your pregnancy are unique. If your doctor or tech said that is average for this point in pregnancy, why don't you trust their opinion, which holds far greater weight than a random person on a pregnancy forum?

Your medical staff knows what they're talking about; if something was wrong with your child's size they would have told you. Those of us here on TB are not medically trained and can't give you any more information than that.

Everything I've read said baby should be around 1 lb at the 22 week mark so it sounds like you are right on track. If there was an issue with your due date, your doctor would say something.

My tech might have made a mistake somewhere. At 19 weeks we were told she was 12 inches long. Nowhere is there literature that says this is normal. So we're thinking somewhere there has to be an error. She should be half this size. Don't worry. We aren't. They'll tell you if it's time to worry.

Weight doesn't signify age. An early dating ultrasound does and is most accurate. Your baby could be small, avg, or big so you would never use that info for your due date. Could weigh that much at 20 wks, 22 wks or 24 wks..
