I'm Considering Lipo

Ive been aware of my looks but I didn't become obsessed with them until post-partum. I don't do what most bloggers say, "Focusing on celebrating baby bounce back" on the contrary, being in the industry I know the team of people, loads of cash and complete devotion those bodies take. Instead I'm preoccupied with my post-baby self. What I used to look like. Ironically, making my own confidence my worst enemy.

I'm considering Lipo but nervous of yet another abdominal invasion (2 uterine surgeries, 1 c-section)... I'm working out, clean eating but I don't think this baby belly will ever look like pre-baby again.

I am proud of what my body did, of the beautiful life I fostered into being, but I also know that I can look better and I know means to do so.

What would you?

Re: I'm Considering Lipo

  • I'm interested in lipo as well. My husband is against it

  • It's your choice...I would give yourself more time though if it were me, especially for such a big decision, and more so because you've had the two surgeries and the c-section. For me the process of weight loss has been quite discouraging as well at times because it's been slow going, and at the time of writing this I've only lost half the pregnancy weight myself (I gained 50 lbs and had a c-section also) thus far. But I'm losing consistently, and that's the main thing I would look at. Are you somewhat consistently losing weight over the last 6 months? It could take 9-12 months or even longer, but even if it took 2 years, you might find it paying off to wait and lose it naturally.
  • My baby is only 6 months but I have been doing P90X for 2 months and I even gave up carbs for a month and I've only lost 7lbs. It just doesn't seem like this weight is going to leave unless I force it to from surgery. I'm definitely considering lipo but it seems like a waste of money if I want to have more kids. So I'm just going to wait and continue to work hard until I can get the surgery.
  • You could save up more money and get a tummy tuck or liposuction.

  • I don't know if you are in need of a tummy tuck (which could be possible) but depending on how bad your tummy is, look into non invasive methods first to reduce your waist. I have friends who have done the "it works" wraps with success and results, for example. Med spas may also offer some things you could check out. Remember that Lipo is not a precise science it can leave you with dents, loose skin, and uneven. I was looking into it and my dr. kept saying she didn't want to ruin my tummy. She is an excellent plastic surgeon, but just goes to show you that they are not really sure either how the end result will turn out.
  • Kajaguru I just started selling for It Works! The body wraps are great and I am also using the greens and fat fighters. I have already lost 4lbs! I haven't even been able to work out for 2 weeks because I hurt my foot! So it's definitely working. If anyone is interested or wants to know more let me know. You can email me at samanthahear02@gmail.com. If I keep going at this rate I won't need lipo. And this is way cheaper!
  • Kaka guru mentioned the body wraps from It Works. I take a few other products from them too like the fat fighters. I just started a few days ago and I have already lost 4 lbs!!! I couldn't believe it because like I said, I've been working out and eating a low carb diet. If you want to know more about it I can give you some info. Just email me at samanthaheard02@gmail.com
  • Try the GM diet. I lost 9 lb in 7 days. Lots of people just do it as a cleanse.
