Question for the moms with preterm labor

in High-Risk Pregnancy
maybe a stupid question but how did you know you were having preterm labor. I'm at very high risk for preterm labor and I'm trying to figure out when I should go to the ER... I have been having 5-6 contractions in the last 40 min but not painful. .. Thanks!

    My contractions were about 5 min apart but they were painful.

    Mine were not super painful, I called my OB and she said always better safe than sorry come in and let's take a peek, by the time I got to L&D I was 3 cm dilated. Go in now. Hope it's nothing but my advice would be to get checked out ASAP.

    TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck

    Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man.  Born 12/2/11

    TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended

    Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good.  Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.

    Back with RE as of January 2014...

    5/27/14- Chemical Pregnancy :(

    April 2015 IVF#1

    5/13/15- BFP, please stick LO!

    Oh and I'm a major Harry Potter Nerd :)

    My contractions were never painful at the beginning.  I didn't even know I was in labor right before my son was born at 33 weeks because nothing was hurting, it just all felt a bit off.

    I was 30 weeks. I did not even have contractions but went to the hospital because of some pinkish discharge. Turns out I was 5 cm dilated. I started feeling the contractions right before they stuck me with an epidural for an emergency c-section. Hope everything is OK with you.

    Thank you ladies! Went to labor & delivery but everything was fine ... I will be 25 weeks on Saturday. Twins and uterine malformation... My goal is 30 weeks and every day after that I will consider a miracle :) thank you again for your responses!

    Im at 35 wks i cm dilated. Cant feel the contractions and cant feel the baby moving.done with my non stress test Fetal heart beat is normal i hope everythings fine with my baby. ;(

    My water broke at 34 weeks. If you experience an excess amount of fluids, call your doctor. I never even felt the contractions at first.
