Back from docs office...

Hi mamas... I just came back from my docs office, I'm 32 weeks, I'm dealing with gestional diabetes n I found out today I'm dilated 1cm... she wants me to rest... the thing is idk how to just relax ugh, I'm a little stressed out
Anybody going through the same or similar situation?

I'm not dealing with GD, but I've been dilated for several weeks. I'm also 32 weeks. Prayers are with you and hopefully all will be well.

I'm 34 weeks and dilated 1cm as well. I don't have GD. I was told to rest too. I have a desk job, and luckily my boss and coworkers are pretty understanding if I need to leave early. At home I want to cook and clean all the time (hello nesting!), but I've been trying to not do everything and take it easy more. I hope your little girl stays in longer! I was googling around and it looks like lots of mamas can dilate early and still go to their due date, some even go past their due date!

Just 2 cm...I'm thinking I'll be at two until she decides to make her way into the world. I go back to be checked on August 11.

I'm 34 weeks 2 days and they haven't even started checking my cervix yet so I don't have a clue if I'm dilated at all. I am dealing with GD, though. It's not at all unusual to be dilated for several weeks before labor, though.

@shelbydd, I was only checked because I started having contractions this week. I don't think I would have been checked until I was in labor otherwise. I'm still having contractions, but they're mild and irregular for now.

They checked me because I'm having contractions n a lot of pressure in my pelvic area ugh...
Good luck to u all mamas too I'll keep u in my prayers that we can make it until is time for baby to come!

Drink lots and lots of water and try to rest as much as possible. you can be dialated 1 cm for weeks. As long as you can keep the contractions at bay, you'll be able to keep baby cooking for a few more weeks. Good luck mama!

I also just passed the 32 week mark, and i'm still in the hospital for pre-labor, and i'm 1.5-2cm, and 50%. I've been here for a week and three days and they moved me to another room. I'm still having contractions 7-10 mins, but their just holding her back with meds, and now were just waiting for whenever! Totally not alone

I'm at 2.5 cm and 50% effaced since 31 weeks. I've been contracting regularly for the last 2 weeks but a week ago I hadn't changed. We declined being checked this week to not stir up anything more. I walked around at 4 cm with my #3 for awhile so I'm not worried unless the.contractions pick up in intensity again.

Ty ladies for the advices... I just hope we can all make it to the end at least 37 weeks...
I'm still having some contractions more when she moves ugh I just need to relax...
