anyone have a cerclage?

Recently had a cerclage done at 16 weeks and I was just curious how long the cerclage last for you, were you able to carry to full term and also about bed rest , were you able be to work after having it done how long after having the surgery

I had a cerclage placed at 12 weeks due to incompetent cervix. My last pregnancy ended at 26 weeks after being on bedrest for 6 weeks with an extremely short cervix (.7 cm and shortening every week) If your cerclage was placed as a preventative means, it has a very high chance of working. I was supposed to take it easy for 2 weeks after having mine put in and then was told I could return to normal activity excluding exercise and lifting my 3 year old. I am almost 24 weeks now and had a ultrasound 3 weeks ago which showed my cervix was over 4 cm. My OB fully expects me to make it to term this time. feel free to ask me any other questions you may have.
