Mucus plug

35 weeks & first time mom. How do you know when you lose your mucus plug?

    Mine came out in a big blob with blood in it. 6 hours later my water broke... A lot of times it'll come out in pieces and you may not notice it, other times it may not come till your in labor and already so far dilated.
