Gym

Anyone still making it to the gym? Would love to hear your tricks to staying motivated as we get close to the end. I'm only making it like once a week, and could use some inspiration!

    I was there at least 5x/wk through last week, but finally ran out of steam. I'm 39 weeks and just okay with not going at this point. One thing that kept me going is that it kept me in good spirits.

  • I'm still going 6x a week. I just know how much better I feel (physically and mentally) when I get a workout in. I won't be able to go for a few months once baby arrives so I'm making the most of my quiet child-free gym time right now.
  • I still walk most days (2 miles) and some days I do prenatal yoga and free weights at home.

    Really now that I'm on maternity leave it gives me something to do that makes me feel productive

    I went yesterday. My motivation is free childcare for my other kids aka an hour of peace without someone hanging on my leg or someone biting someone.

    Oh, yes! The childcare is definitely a plus!
  • I was going twice a week while working full time. Tomorrow is my last day of work so I plan to get out more. The gym is getting pretty boring so I want to start some light hiking and do some walking at the lakes nearby.

    It just helps me feel better!

    This is my goal most days, too!  I definitely feel better when I get my walks in.  
  • Haven't been to the gym in about a week.  I've been enjoying night walks alone the past week and do free weights and/or yoga videos at home.

  • It's the only thing that has made me feel human throughout this pregnancy! Almost 40 weeks and much more tired, but making myself go 5x/week because I know it's good for me and baby and I keep thinking about how long I won't be able to exercise after he comes. Added bonus is that some people at my gym say that working out helped their baby come:)
  • I'm still making it and water aerobics and zumba. 4 days a week is my max. Without it I likely would feel like hell. Keep it moving lady. Take it easy but a good sweat feels so good. Plus I think my weight gloves are cute with my bump. You can do it!!
  • Im still working out about 3 times a week. Woud be more but I havent been getting off work on time so I have kind of slacked off a bit.
