Oh so this is why you chart temps

This is our first month TTC for #2 and decided to just to observe my CM for this month and then next month actually start temping. Boy am I confused. Had EWCM and cramping/bloating round CD23, thought I O'd, but then had EWCM and cramping again at CD29. So now I don't know if the second round of EWCM is an estrogen surge in preparation of AF- or maybe I didn't O the first time and my body is trying to O around CD29. Or maybe is implantation. Who knows! Lesson learned- I'll be temping next month for sure.

I'm in the same boat as you! Thought i ovulated a few days ago but now I'm not so sure. Definitely temping next month too.

Agreed! This is also my first month temping, 2nd month TTC. I love the science behind it all! I've caught myself showing some of my close girl friends my chart because I think it's so cool, and they just stare at me blankly haha

Sounds like there will be lots of us starting temping next cycle!
Im currently on cycle day 38 (after regular 28-29 day cycles...fun...), and don't know if maybe O was late and I'm still in?!? Maybe hasn't even happened? Maybe happened late with poor timing?
It will be so nice to have a better idea of what's going on!
The second AF starts, I'm buying a thermometer!

I just started a couple of days ago and I am hooked. I want to make time go faster just so I can see my chart develop! This makes TTC a little more interesting for me.

OP, We are here >.< I'm on CD43. Had EWCM around CD20 and was guessing I O'd especially when I felt crampy and AF-like about a week later. Even had one instance of the tiniest bit of pink that made me think AF was on her way (tiny = no need for even a panty liner). Then? Nothing!

In the last two days I swear I'm back to the EWCM. But I had no AF in between...Was the pink I saw the world's smallest AF ever?! lol I'm done. Will be ordering a bbt this weekend. This is for the birds.

Yeah I'm so glad I started temping.I'm still new to it as well.Iv'e had positive OPKs and S.H.O.W CP,EWCM(Hardly ever have any) and figure I'm about to O and it will feel so good just to know when I do exactly.

We are going into our 4 month now of TTC. I bought a thermometer the 2nd month and made some lazy attempts that month. I temped 100% the 3rd month and it was really cool to see how it all works. I can't say that I'm 100% sure about the CM situation, my goal for this month is to keep up with that too now that i've got the temping and OPK thing going.

Temping was cool though because I had a drop in temps right before my temps when up to indicate the O and then my temp dropped pretty significantly and AF started that same morning. Everybody is different on how that works, but it was actually nice because I took a HPT on 9 DPO and got a BFN and that got me a little down. I was going to test again at 14DPO but i don't even think I got that far because my temps dropped before then.
