Kindara vs FF Apps

Just wondering peoples' thoughts on these two tracking programs. I currently have them both downloaded to my phone (although ff seems to have locked me out and now I require a refferal).

I know most people on here are FF users, but does anyone use Kindara? Thoughts on it if you do? Reasons you prefer FF?

Just getting into my charting so I'm curious to hear others experiences with different tracking apps.

Re: Kindara vs FF Apps

  • I've only used Fertility Friend, but I've seen some charts on Kindara. I think they just look a little over complicated. Then again, I'm just used to FF.

This...although, the only thing I think I've found that they complicate (in just a few days of using Kindara) is CF...they have like a coloured bar graph depending on CF and amount...which adds confusion because you're looking at the coloured bars and your temp lines all at once. FF just having the square seems more straightforward.

In just a few days of using both, I've noticed mostly that the Kindara app and user face are a little prettier, but that's about it. I was going to use both for a few cycles to compare, but now I can't get into FF, will have to send a note to them about my account, I suppose!

  • I like Kindara more.. but thats because I learned how to track on that app. I do like the FF tells you more information and it keeps me busy ready during my cycle... it does have a tendency to make me a little obsessive

  • Thanks @Katm89 ! I'm still using both for now, but I am leaning towards Kindara currently!
  • I think it just depends on which works better for you.  FF is more complicated, but lets you track all sorts of corroborating signs of ovulation.  Kindara is more straight-forward, and might work better for you if you get overwhelmed with too many details.  Kindara is also coming out with the Wink, which is a blue tooth enabled, silent thermometer, that makes it easy for you to take your temp in the morning without having to write anything down or wake your husband with the beeping.  I've preordered the Wink and I'm looking forward to using it.

Between the two apps, I probably prefer FF, but the Wink has me intrigued.
  • I used to track with both, but now I just track with Kindara and if I think I have ovulated, I plug in my data to FF to see if I get crosshairs
  • Thanks for the insight, everyone. I'm going to continue using both for the next cycle or two.

I've had a strange cycle It seems so far on FF.
