  • Week: 9+3

What's new with baby (size, development): No more tail...

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: on to a strict budget now... I can see after week 1 this is going to be hard but by the time baby is here we will have no debt and savings in the bank

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: rapidly flashing between no appetite and absolute starvation.. getting annoying

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?  I will admit since getting married 4 years ago I have become more lazy (partially blamed bc I never found a waxer in the UK I liked).... but I am switching from rugby/powerlifting to swimming so I will be needing to keep myself bathing suit neat for the foreseeable future.  I found it funny while watching Call the Midwife that shaving down there was a typical part of the process.

What's new with baby (size, development): last day as a poppyseed

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: just waiting for Thursday for second blood draw. Yesterday's numbers came back normal now we just have to see if they doubled

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I wasn't hungry at all yesterday but when you put a plate of food in front of me I scarfed it down.

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? I shave completely about every two weeks and do bikini maintenance in between. That will probably change once I'm flying blind

What's new with baby (size, development): last day as a poppyseed also (my other app says red lentil)

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: starting to think about how we will rearrange our son's room because they will eventually be sharing and dealing with the harsh reality that we will need to transition him to a bed

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: we had to tell my sister and her fiancé due to wedding planning, so I hope she'll keep our secret, but I really want to tell my mom and dad but my husband wants to wait until next weekend when we have a sonogram to show them... This is going to be a long week and 2 days...

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? I shave completely about every two weeks and do bikini maintenance in between. (I do the same.)

What's new with baby (size, development): finally moved up to the size of an apple seed. It says the baby's heart is probably beating now!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Nothing right now. We have a lot going on. Just counting days to my first appointment next wen.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Exhaustion and sore boobs!

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?
I hate body hair and I normally shave everything every few days. I don't plan on changing anything. I shaved myself (blind of course) the night before my C-section with DS and I plan on doing the same this time.

  • Week: 5 today!

What's new with baby (size, development): Appleseed!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: trying to remain stress free as we are dealing with my HCG rising a tad slow! Grow baby, grow!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I am just tired of being in this limbo stage. I've had 3 rounds of bloodwork and have to do another on Friday! I just got back from one and I hope my levels skyrocketed! This is stressful :/ I am also on progesterone which makes me feel crappy! Yuck.

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? I shave every 3-4 days and I continued to do so until the night before my son was born and will do the same this time.
  • For all you ladies who say you shave completely every few weeks.... What kind of razor are you using??? I feel like I'd be tearing through razors if I didn't this... Not to mention itchy.... No??? Teach me your wayyzzzzzzz!!?

    5 weeks, 4 days.

What's new with baby (size, development):
    Appleseed little tadpole baby :)

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:
Getting into a consistent workout routine! For me this means ballet. The only form of exercise I love and can endure lol.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
Gas, gas, gas. Definitely feeling bloated. Yesterday I had a panic moment and requested blood work to ensure all my levels are good--I just keep anticipating the worst because I have PCOS. Its hard to know what to expect. But my results came back and my OB said they were *great*! I'm thrilled :)

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?
Nothing has changed yet! I shave pretty frequently.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: same ole, same ole

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? I love this question. My cousin and I were just talking about this and I'm interested to hear what other people do. Right now, I just keep up with the bikini area and trim the rest as needed. In my last pregnancies, though, once I couldn't see what I was doing, I just let it go wild. Sorry, doc! (And thankful I've had all winter pregnancies. Haha.)

What's new with baby (size, development):
I have an olive! And have moved up to fetus!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby:
going to tell my mom when she comes tonight! I just haven't decided how to do it yet.

    Rant/rave/symptoms/questions:
Still diarrhea, but ms has gotten better. Still pops up in the morning and late at night and if I get too hungry, but I seem to be able to ease it with ginger snaps and jolly ranchers
GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?
I shave completely and will probably continue that for most of the pregnancy. Although I have been having trouble keeping up with the hair lately.

What's new with baby (size, development): Apparently my baby is developing ears. Eeek!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Blood pressure was high yesterday at my dr. appointment (not surprising since it was a disaster lol) so I have decided to cut out as much caffeine as possible, which means no more morning coffee. I already feel lost.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Same old - sore boobs and fatigue

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? You all are commendable. I *try* to keep my bikini zone shaved and the rest trimmed up, but sometimes it gets a little....80's. Will probably be the same throughout this pregnancy I'm sure.

    Week: 8!!!!!!!!!!!

What's new with baby (size, development): RASPBERRY!!!!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Trying not to kill baby's 3-year old brother right now....sometimes cranky mom and temperamental 3-year old don't mix very well.

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Soooo all of a sudden I'm not liking water but I'm so thirsty.  Recharge (natural Gatorade) is somewhat helping my nausea...I'm hoping all that sugar doesn't wreak havoc on my system but I need the fluids.

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? Bahahahahaha funny question.  Ummmmm just trimming?  I'm way to sensitive for shaving and don't you come near me with that wax!  It hasn't changed yet.  With the rainbow of colors that come out of your vag during pregnancy, I fully expect to look like this coming month 8-9.

  • @finchbird1 I buy something like the Gillette brand, I buy it at BJ's with like 18 replacement razorblades.  If it has gotten out of control down there will go over everything lightly with the razor to trim things short, then I lather up again (I use Coochy Cream shaving cream I get it from Amazon) and do it for real, but definitely with the grain for the love of god don't go against the grain :-).

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Our first appointment is Friday. I'm so excited/nervous!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: I felt awesome yesterday. It was so weird I kept running around the house cleaning and doing things I've not felt like doing for the past 2 weeks. I just hope it lasts. Trying not to get my hopes up.

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? I'm a shaver about once or twice a week. Depending on what's happening. In the winter I drop down to once a week. I have no idea what I'll do when I can't reach/see anything. Maybe try Veet? I can't stand it!

I get sugared all the way! Don't plan on changing that. I have it done about every 5 weeks. I can't imagine ever shaving down there again or letting it grow out. I love the clean and free feeling!

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Not much yet... I realized the logistics of where we are going to put our two year old and the baby are a bit confusing right now. We have 4 bedrooms, 2 up and 2 down, and our room and DD's are the ones upstairs. I'd like to keep them in the same room but I'm not thrilled at the possibility of a newborn and a toddler up multiple times a night. We'll cross that bridge when we get there, there is plenty of time!

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: My BFF is 15 weeks pregnant, first time mom, and she's frustrating the crap out of me. She is in no way at all a person who can go with the flow so she has been reading every single thing as gospel when it comes to newborns. She told me her mom gave her a book that is a "fool proof method to get your baby to sleep through the night immediately" and she was so thankful because she "can't imagine losing any more sleep." All I could do was laugh and tell her not to freak out when her baby wasn't sleeping through the night immediately. She got so defensive (because what do I know as someone whose already had a kid, right?) so my response was, "if it was really fool proof, don't you think we'd all do it?" Not the response she wanted to hear. I was just proud of myself for not allowing my eyes to roll out of my face...

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?: My routine has always been that my mom comes over and does it, LOL. I am not a gardener, I only have flower gardens, but my mom loves it and since my parents rent they don't have gardens of their own. I help but I wouldn't probably even have any flowers if it weren't for mom!
Please tell me your mom does not trim up your lady castle....vajaya....hooha.  If she does, might I recommend some counseling.  And as far as the toddler/infant thing, we had to go through the exact same scenario - master and second bedroom upstairs and 3rd bedroom downstairs.  We ended up moving our first downstairs and baby went in the second bedroom and it actually worked pretty well.  Yeah, nighttime wakeups were a little hard but he transitioned well.

Yeah, holy hell, I edited my comment... I couldn't figure out why we were talking about gardening and then when I reread it, I just about had a heart attack!!! Oh lord, that was a crazy mix up...

I think that may be what we end up doing, moving our first downstairs. I think I can add cameras to our video monitor so that is probably what we would do. She just started sleeping in a toddler bed so hopefully at that point she'll be pretty used to that and a different room would be a smooth transition.

Something new I'm doing to get ready for baby: just trying to get some food in me right now, and stay awake enough to feed and ensure the safety of the other tiny humans in my care

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: sick and tired, and still trying to poop

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?
I just trim up with an electric razor (I'll be a bit more precise about lines if we are going swimming or having a doctor appt). But I'm sure once I get past the 7ish month mark and can't see down there so well, things will get a little less manicured looking as precision shaving becomes more precarious LOL

  • Week: 8, finally! I thought I was there last Monday, but then I had my 1st appointment and got bumped back a week and a half.

What's new with baby (size, development): it's Raspberry time! Arms and legs are supposedly moving, I can't wait until I can feel them, even though I know it will be a while.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: We are going to finally tell family and close friends this week, we've already known for a full month and it's been so hard keeping it quiet! We couldn't resist waiting though because it means getting to tell them in person (we live on the opposite side of the country, and our vacation is finally here!)

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Any advice about being pregnant on an airplane I should know about? We are flying in the morning, and my MS usually doesn't hit until early evening so I'm hoping it stays in its normal pattern, but any tips for what to do if I do feel sick are appreciated!

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? It hasn't changed yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll only get even lazier, lol.

What's new with baby (size, development): Little blueberry is getting arm and leg buds.

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Honestly nothing. I have a history of loss so we are just praying this is our 2nd Sticky Baby. I have been pointing at babies to DS..

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: Hoping the old wives tale about morning sickness and girls is true because between the hours of 9AM-12PM I'm starving but can't stand the sight of food and I would love to have a little girl but its getting old already. UGH

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? So far it hasn't changed but it might once I'm flying blind. I remember having DH help me out before I went to the hospital for my induction last time and the battery died on my personal trimmer so it looked a bit like a Freddy Kruger job or so I've been told..lol

  • I already did my checkin on Monday for week 8 and plan to only do that once a week, but I like this GTKY question so I want to play!

What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?

My routine right now has been sugaring with sugar gel (sort of like waxing but less painful!) - I use the Shobha line of products. I do that for the bikini line because it's less irritating/less ingrowns that way. I'll shave what's left every couple of days. Every other day or so I use Serious Serum aftershave gel on the bikini line after showering to keep the skin happy.

I think I'm going to go for a wax around week 37 because I'm vain like that.

food aversions! I'm so hungry but nothing looks edible.

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine? Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant?

I was just talking about this with my SO. I'm a shaver, once a week and then bikini maintenance. I was saying how he's gonna have to help me once I can't see anymore. Not sure if I'll trust him enough though, I might just go get one of those trimmers. Last time with DD I went in blind and I got called patches.
  • @cherries2005 Patches! I'm sorry, that's just too funny. I ended up with a c-section with DD so they had to shave me. I told the nurse I thought I had it already and she goes, "yeah, well, not really... I mean, I just need to reeeeeally shave it. You did... fine..." LOL, guess I didn't have it as good as I thought!
  • You know what?  They've seen it all.  They really don't care what you look like, just that baby comes out ok :)

What's new with baby: The baby is developing ears

What's something new you are doing to get ready for baby: Prenatal yoga...I guess that's more for me than the kiddo though lol

Rant/rave/symptoms/questions: First day of morning sickness and it sucked. Craving Giordanno's pizza so I'm going there after work! Hopefully I won't throw it up too :-/

GTKY: What is your lady garden maintenance routine?  Has it changed (or do you intend on changing) now that you are pregnant? I usually get Brazilians, I haven't really thought about changing it yet. I supposed I'll do that unless I get too sensitive down there? IDK
