1st IUI done and soon on the the 2ww..... nervous and excited all in one

Hi everyone,
   I'm new to the bump. I just finished a cycle of Bravelle with an Ovidrel shot. I did the first day of the IUI and tomorrow will the the 2nd day.. then the wait! I think i"m going to have to try and keep myself busy. This is my first fertility treatment and I know that many have had to do much more than one round so I'm trying to be realistic but optimistic. I had one follicle that was 20mm and the other was close to 17. I know that the doc said they shoot for 18-20... I guess all I need is one, right? :) Neither of us had anything specifically wrong.. unexplained infertility. We've tried for a year now so here we are. If anyone is in the same boat this month I will be thinking of you.

    I just had my second IUI yesterday but I took Follistim and Novarel before the IUI. Good luck, I hope we get our bfps soon!
    Ttc since March 2012 Me: 24 Dh: 25 Mother of many fur/feathered-babies! 3 dogs (Phoenix,Lacey,Piper), 4 cats (Grace,Delilah,Elvira,Birdie), 7 ducks, and 4 hens! HSG came back normal, Diagnosis: DOR, Last FSH reading: 17, Failed 3 rounds of clomid with timed intercourse, Failed 3 rounds of follistem with Noveral and timed intercourse, Failed 1 round unmedicated IUI, Failed 1 round medicated IUI

    I did my first iui today and am doing another one tomorrow!!! I am going to be going crazy for my 2ww and we will be going through it at the exact same time

    @4554 we are on the same days. I'm in the doctor's office now. We can do the 2ww together. @Cbowden12 .. You are just ahead of us. I will be thinking of you guys. Hopefully I won't go too batty during the 2ww.

    @Joyzie77 we are going to be it together alone with @Drove2u too so we all should be testing ok n the same day! FX for all of us we can help each other stay posituve!!!

    Haha me too. I heard the ovidril can stay in your system for like 10 days and make a BFP. so I guess there's almost no point?

    @Joyzie77 @Drove2u it is only day 2 into the 2ww and I already know that this is going to be hard. My Dr did not say he was gonna do a blood test he said take a HPT on day 14 and if it is positive I will do a blood test to confirm and if I don't get AF and I get a BFN they will do one but I am suppose to do the test on my home, it would be easier if I did not already have any test at home but I have two already at home so it's gonna be a hard 2ww. Glad I have you ladies

    What day is your actual testing day?  Mine is 8/10.  Would love to hear everyone's results.

    TTC- since we got married (off and on)
    TTC with focus: Since July 2015
    Currently had 2 rounds of failed IUIs, failed TI monitored cycle
    December 2015: Starting 1st IVF cycle
    January 2016: Retrieval
    March 2016: Pending Transfer (I have 3 PGS tested embryos waiting for a womb)
    April 2016: BFP, the old fashioned way.

    @babyexpress I think mine is the 14th. It would be 16 days after my IUI. I'm not sure if they would allow me to come in sooner or if they want to make sure the results are accurate. Not sure... I may call them on the 10th to ask. The wait seems to be the worst part, eh? It will be here soon enough.

    Mine is the 14th also. It should be the 12th but I can't come in then. I will be hpt probably next Sunday or Monday though.

    @Joyzie77 : that's a really long wait to test! My RE requests a beta to be done 14 days after the trigger, which could be a whole 3-4 days earlier (we all know 3-4 days isn't long, but in the TWW, it is!)

    1.) IUI Cycle 1 April 2015- 50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 at 9:30am showed two follicles (17mm and 19mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
    2.) IUI Cycle 2 May 2015-50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 at 3:30pm showed three follicles!!! (17mm, 20mm and 22mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
    3.) IUI Cycle 3 June 2015-50mg clomid days 5-9, U/S cycle day 12 showed one follicle, Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 10:30 am. BFN
    Month break and switched RE's.
    4.) IUI Cycle 4 July 2015-5mg letrozole/femara days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed one follicle (18mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 12 10:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 10:30 am. BFN
    5.) IUI Cycle 5 August 2015-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 2 follicles (18mm each), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 12 10:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 10:30 am. BFN
    Taking a break and trying acupuncture before continuing another 3 IUI/clomid cycles. I also went back to my original RE; because of my age and normal tests, RE wants to try another 3 IUI and Clomid cycles before considering injectables or IVF. 
    6.) IUI Cycle 6 October 2015-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 3 follicles!!!( 18mm, 19mm, and 20mm), Ovidrel trigger shot cycle day 13 at 9:30pm, IUI cycle day 15 at 9:30 am. Did acupuncture with this cycle too. BFN
    Took a break and ttc naturally
    7.) IUI Cycle 7 February 2016-100mg clomid days 3-7, U/S day 12 showed 2 follicles (22mm and 24mm), Ovidrel trigger shot day 12 at 9:00pm, IUI cycle day 14 at 10:00am. BFN
    Meeting scheduled for 2/29/2016 to discuss iui with injectables vs. IVF
    8.) IUI Cycle 8 March 2016-Injectables (Gonal F), U/S showed 2 mature follicles, Ovidrel Trigger BFN
    April-May I lost my mind.
    IVF#1 July 2016-Transferred 2 fair blasts. 9dp5dt BFP 129 BETA, 13dp5dt 944 BETA, 20dp5dpt 8776 BETA, 8/19/2016-1 beautiful heartbeat  of 100 BPM at 6 weeks 1 day! Growing baby grow!! 8/25/2016-another ultrasound at 7 weeks and baby has a heart beat of 129 BPM and is 10mm/1cm! Grow baby grow some more!! Graduated from RE at 10 weeks and had ObGyn appointment at 13 weeks. It's a girl (found out via panorama test)  EDD 4/13/2017

    mine is 13 days after IUI.  I bet you could test at home early.  My AF is due 8/13 and she is never late

    I speculate mine has me waiting till 18 days after IUI because I had 2 ovidrel injections. One to induce ovulation and one 1 week after IUI to help lengthen my luteal phase? So because I had another shot of ovidrel I think I have to wait a while to test because it gives false positives :(

    @babyexpress I love your meme about having to wait. That is how I feel each time!!

    I just had my IUI yesterday. I can test on 8/16 or 8/17. Good luck ladies!!

    My first IUI is tomorrow. Im so excited and nervous I can barely stand it. Im trying not to be too optimistic either, but it's hard, lol. Anyway, good luck everyone. After tomorrow, Ill be in the same boat 2WW! Ughhh, the anxiety!

    Good luck!! I'm so excited for you. FX!!

    I'm just coming out of my 1st IUI and that 2ww was hard, but am I the only one who was excited about not seeing the doctors for 2weeks? That first round I felt like I was giving blood or ultrasound or something nearly every day! They had me HPTing 16dpiui too. I thought it was an epically long time but my . Came on day 13 so didn't need it, I guess saved $ since I refused to buy one until day 14 NYC--I knew if it was in the house I'd cave! Hope we can help you through the wait!

    @niki1219 I feel the exact same way, I do t want to be too optimistic because if it does not happen it will hurt more, but at the same time it is going to hurt either way so I'm embracing how I feel and just visualizing my baby

    I am on the 2ww, test on 8/17. Trying to stay positive but this is our second IUI, and I am a glass half empty kind of gal. I try to brace myself for bad news so it doesn't hurt as much. I feel better about the IUI this time around bc I produced 3 mature follicles when last time it was only 1. I have one IUI cycle left after this. I am a teacher so its been hard this summer trying to not think about TTC with all the down time I have. I am going to see the social worker at the clinic tomorrow to chat it out. Any helpful hints to stay positive?
