Getting impatient..

I'm 18wks today. My anatomy scan is in 9days (August5th) and these days feel like pure torture!! It's been 11wks since I've seen my LO and I'm trying to get through this next week.. I'm thankful my baby is ok I just want to see how much she/ he has grown over these months. Wish the wait wasn't so difficult. :(

  • The slowest days of life! I'm 17 wk tomorrow. So my Antony scan is a ways off. You'd think these days would fly by being my second time around! I had a 12wk Us. So it hasn't been so long since I've seen baby.
  • Every day feels like a year long, the second after I have an ultrasound I wish I could go back and get another. It's perfectly normal to worry about the tiny creature inside of you, especially when we don't have any daily confirmation they're okay, such as the kicking that comes later on. It sucks that some ladies have to wait even longer between appointments, but nobody's experience minimizes or invalidates somebody else's :)

  • I'm away at the moment so my scan won't be until im back and I'll be nearly 22 weeks.. Which is another 5 weeks to wait!! :(
With my first I definitely counted the days to the next one, with this one I seem to be so busy I forget and I think the latter is easier, I got so stressed first time around always waiting for the next scan or next change/symptom. It's great when you have it but then you just change the countdown to the next one!
  • My anatomy scan is scheduled for 20 weeks, near the end of August, so I have another month to wait. I had a scan at 13 weeks so since then have felt reassured, before that was pretty anxious to get out of the first trimester and see my LO doing well. Now we are excited to hopefully find out gender (and see that baby is still doing well) at the anatomy scan.

  • I try not to count down the days cause it's seriously feels like forever. I keep busy so when the time actually does roll around im like oh my appointment is this week. I have to do that for my sanity because I get satisfaction even from hearing baby's heartbeat I know how many u/s I'll get so I try not to even get my hopes up to high with them. But the suspense of knowing if my nugget is a boy or girl is aggy. I want a girl so bad so I'm not rushing the scan in case it's a boy lol I'll still love him the same.
  • Yea I still have 5 weeks to go... And haven't seen baby since my 9 week scan. There are some women who ONLY get the 20 week scan. I get the desire to see baby but only 8 days would thrill me!
  • 17+1 and my scan is in 13 days...
But who's counting? I scheduled the appt for first thing in the morning because I don't think I could wait any longer.
  • I am also feeling anxious, I haven't seen a scan since LO was a bean, and I want to see that everything is going well....

Not scheduled one until the end of aug but have an appt tmr for doppler and such...still....I want to seeeee lol
  • I have started telling people, "have you ever heard of the two week wait? That is nothing!" Before I got pregnant I thought once I got my BFP it would all be sunshine and roses. HA! I had to wait another 4 weeks for a dating scan and another 10 weeks between the dating scan and anatomy scan which is August 10. Time isn't quite as slow in second tri but I totally get it. I bet once we start working on projects and having showers and all that fun stuff it'll go by fast
  • I get your excitement, but time will fly. You have less than a week and a half.
Mine is August 24th. For me, it feels extra far away because we are taking a mini vacation the 21st-23rd, DS2's birthday is the 23rd, and DS1 goes back to school the 27th. It's a big week for us with lots going on, it's moving at a snails pace.
  • I couldn't wait until mid august so hubby and i drove an hour away to an independent ultrasound place at almost 15 weeks. It was way better than the military hospital where my regular OB care is at anyway. We had to pay out of pocket but it was only $40 and so worth it.The room was very comfortable and i was able to get a 15 min ultrasound, found out the gender, and recieved 2 sheets of pictures plus a dvd!
  • I hear you! I just tell myself that it wasn't that long ago that women never saw their LO!
