My son got stung today while getting into the car. We went to the doctor and good news is he's not allergic, bad news is he cried for an hour and is still restless 4 hours later. Has any one else LO gotten stung?
My little one has had a tick bite and a mosquito bite so far. I'm VERY allergic to wasps, so I'm very nervous about stings. How is he doing now? What did the doctor tell you to do for it?
He's sleeping well now. The doctor had us ice it for the swelling make sure the stinger was out and give him a dose of baby Tylenol. I'm so thankful he wasn't allergic since close relatives on both sides are extremely allergic.
I haven't asked the pediatrician about this yet, but there is a plant that can be found in your yard (at least in the South where I live) that helps with bites and stings. It's called plantain. You break the leaves and rub it on the bite. It works on us.
