shampoo?

I don't know if switching shampoo is necessary or being too crazy. Thoughts? If you switched, what kind do you use?

I'm not sure. I wouldn't think it necessary - otherwise we'd have to check body lotions, toothpaste, hair products, makeup, etc. I already use sulfate free due to having keratin treatments, but I wouldn't think switching your shampoo would be necessary... I actually just asked about gel manis though! So who knows.

  • What shampoo do you already use? Mine has all the bad things in it (sulfates, frangrence, probably parabens) so I would like to switch
  •  I don't think there is a wrong answer. I would say it definitely is a personal preference kind of thing. It's not at all crazy to switch if you want to, but I also don't think you are doing any harm by using whatever shampoo you currently have.

I use Say Yes To Cucumbers shampoo or John Masters Organics unscented shampoo.

I alternate between It's a 10 and AG Keratin shampoo and conditions. The AG liters are normally $50 (!) but they go on sale in Ulta every once in awhile, and are on sale now for $21! They're 33.8 ounces, can't beat it!
  • If you have a Costco near you they sell a sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner. That is the key thing if you are looking to avoid something but it's not necessary, completely what you are comfortable with

  • Chemist over here...all those ingredients (parabens, sulfates, fragrance) are just fine. I promise :) Application of product is small, concentration of those ingredients in the actual product is very small (major ingredient in nearly all shampoo on the market is water) and application is topical. Very little if any is actually absorbed into the skin and from there, significantly less (if any) will reach baby through the bloodstream. No need to change shampoo/conditioner/body wash during pregnancy.
