I like Vivienne better but only if you pronounce correctly. If not, Vivian.

I'm assuming you're going for the VIV-ian pronunciation, with the emphasis on Viv (Not the Vivienne way, vivi-ENNE) so I picked Vivian. Keep it simple.

For a boy or girl? Vivian is feminine, Vivien is masculine.

Vivian was on our short list because I think it's feminine without over doing it. Vivienne seems over the top for me even though I know it's a perfectly acceptable spelling. Vivien is just wrong.
