New born photos

hi ladies! Curious if anyone has booked newborn phot sessions and if so what the average rate for a session was? Preference is that they come to the home.

I had mine done when LO was 10 days old. Her going rate is $400 but she has a studio with props and spent a ton of time (my session was almost 5 hours!) with us. Mainly waiting for LO to feed, have his diaper changed, be consoled and try to fall asleep so she could get those amaxing sleeping baby photos. They came out amaze!

Ours was around $300, and she came out to the house, and we got rights to the photos.  Loved them!  But as I was checking with people for references, I came across a very broad range of prices for similar types of sessions.

We had the same photographer that did our wedding do our baby photos. She does a package called bump to baby that includes maternity pics, newborn, 3, 6, 9, & 12 month photos with 30 edited photos each session and a 10 x 10 book at the end. It costs $900, but we have an entire year to pay in installments.
