@kylelee23 I didn't like chocolate either until after DS was born! So weird.
@StephPegasus I live in Canada and still wore leggings in the winter. My legs are pretty immune to the cold I think. As long as I have on comfy boots and a warm sweater and jacket, my legs don't get so cold. And the most I would ever spend outside was to do a 30 min duty during recess. It was cold but I survived. We weren't allowed to wear jeans mon-thurs.
@arose3eb and @StephPegasus I also live in Mass!! I'm on the SouthCoast myself. This winter was RIDICULOUS! I'm hoping us January Mass moms avoid another Juno. And I love leggings, but I also can't fathom wearing them outside when it's freezing. My sister on the other hand wears them 365 days a year, and no they rarely cover her bum....but I love her and tease her for it daily.
You ladies must all live in warmer climates than me. I can't even imagine wearing leggings in the winter. We had a blizzard that dropped 6 ft of snow in 24 hours. Eta this past January.
I live in southern California and i cant even wear leggings in winter. Christmas day is like 70 degrees it sucks i really want a white christmas.
I hate hate hate the REPEAT police... It's so not a big deal to make a new thread instead of adding it to Daily symptoms even if it's one of those super repeated topics like "hey I have nausea. Anyone else ?"
In fact the repeat police is more annoying than the moms who go "I swear I just felt my 5 week fetus kick.. I swear I know my body blah blah blah"
I hope this isn't a UO but Star Wars and Star Trek all day. Love them both. I named one of my dogs chewbacca. I'm a huge nerd. I friggin hate snow. Hate hate hate.

I'd rather see posts about real concerns and questions people have than look at 20 billion separate U/S pics and announcements.
I kinda want to post a pic of my bump and ask people to guess if its a boy or girl hahaaa im just kidding
You would get the special snowflakes who say "You're carrying low it must be a boy!" Or.. My favorite.. "It's more basketball shaped instead of watermelon shaped!" Lmao
I hate Star Wars and Star Trek but I'll watch Spaceballs anyday! I love that you named your dog Chewbacca though @mrsgetz4000! I had a friend that named their Chihuahua Chewbacca, and called him Chewy! I thought it was adorable since he was so tiny!
My UO is that I can't stand prius drivers! I'm sorry if anyone has one but I swear anytime I'm around one on the road, the driver is being a TW and they raise my blood pressure! They are ugly too-I just don't get their appeal!! There are plenty of eco friendly cars on the road now...choose any one except the prius!!
side note- I have searched for an intro thread for our board, but all I find are other months or things dating back to 2012. would just HATE to be labelled since I haven't introduced myself, but comment often.

I've seen women carry high with a boy. It's like these theorists just disregard unique body shapes playing a factor.

Im carrying a SHIT its a she/him/it and sometimes literally a shit lmao.
For all of my fellow New England ladies: I have hope for this winter. It's a big el niño year. The last one we had was a warm winter that had a *total* of less than 20" of snow for the entire season.

Exactly! Everyone's bodies are different.. You can see that on the HDBD posts where two women post at the same time, both 16 weeks, both look COMPLETELY different. One may have a definite baby bump and the other you can't even tell.

Was that like three/four years ago? I just remember around 2011ish it being SOOOO mild.
I think it's absolutely disgusting when women in relationships make lewd comments/drool over men. I don't want DH looking at other women that way, why would it be appropriate for me to do it to other men?

My parents have been together more than half their lives and they both know the other isn't dead. You can look just don't touch. Kind of unrealistic if you think you SO isn't looking at other people. Saying that they are attractive is one thing. Talking about in detail what you would do to their body in front of your SO is probably not a healthy addition to the relationship.
My mother talks about leaving my dad for Tom Brady on the regular.

Sorry. The things I would do to Ian Somerhalder (Damon from Vampire Diaries) Mmmmmmmm... And I already know DH is in love with Jennifer Anniston.

Sorry, I'm disgusting. DH and I both respect/love/blahblahblah each other but I also think looking at other people doesn't hurt our relationship at all.
I hate Elf on a Shelf. All the teachers at my school seem to do it and my kids always ask "Why don't we have an elf?" And I say because they are all so good Santa doesn't need to send a spy(LIES). But seriously, that elf creeps me the f out. And it seems like some sort of competition on Facebook...who can be the most creative with their disturbing elf? No thank you.
I also loathe Elf on a Shelf.
My UO: I don't feel right about lying to my children about Santa, the tooth fairy, the Easter bunny, etc. So, I don't think we are going to do any of that stuff. I was so traumatized when I found out that my parents had lied to me about it all. I'm worried that it teaches children that you will deceive them. Maybe that viewpoint is a little extreme, but I remember that it really broke my heart when I realized that my parents could lie to me.
My husband used to say look at that girls "x" right in front of me...used to drive me nuts but then I started doing it back he stopped! Naturally he's going to find other women attractive, and that's okay. We've been together for 10 years, you just get over it.
@karaepp16 yeah I think you're right, 2011 was really mild. Then the last three years it was just bam bam bam f*** your plans New Englanders you're all stuck inside for days on end!

It's healthy! You can't pluck out the man's eyeballs! As long as you aren't like plotting to get rid of/murderize your SO so you can be with someone it's all in good fun. I saw a guy the other day that actually made me stop and think - wowwwww.
Not even five days later I saw a girl and I was like damn my SO would be oogling the SHIZ out of her.
If it's a celebrity its even safer. Because lets be real - when would that happen?

winters blend together.
I don't remember the year. It was an article I read a couple of months ago. It was probably the same year my town was able to fix all of the sidewalks with the leftover snow removal money

Please do not deprive your children of Santa - He is a wonderful wonderful Christmas tradition. My parents always said "They believed in the spirit of Santa" never flat out said " I believe in Santa."
They also had Santa bring only the stocking stuffers and maybe one big item - other than that everything said mom and dad.
@kylelee23 I'll take vanilla over chocolate cake and ice cream any day.
Also Im sorry but I like TOMS, I think they are like Uggs, they may not be everyones favourite, but they are comfortable and match my clothing style.
My UO is that I hate Facebook! I finally deleted my account two weeks ago and I am not missing it at all. Also, I hate when businesses only have Facebook pages for websites, although I do understand why they do it, I just hate that I have to go on facebook to get info.

Also joining in on the anti-elf on the shelf group. However, I had the total opposite reaction to when my parents told me all of those weren't real. I just laughed and was like "um, duh?" Probably because I had a neighbor girl ruin it for me and I never really believed the tooth fairy story and my parents didn't do the Easter bunny, it was more just "pretending" for me. I think my mom was really relieved that I wasn't distraught. We will do tooth fairy and Santa but not Easter bunny and put more emphasis on the pretending part rather than the lying and making it super incredibly real. Playing pretend can be fun too
