2nd Trimester

2nd trimester exercise

I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for some good/safe exercises to do during the 2nd trimester.(this is my first pregnancy) I have a Dr appt next week so I'll be asking them as well but figured I'd ask those who've been through the prego thing before also. Thanks!

  • If you exercised before it should be fine to continue.
    I wouldn't start a new program. Walking is good

  • I never stopped working out when I got pregnant so I do everything - weights, swimming, spin class, yoga, etc. But as PP said if you haven't been regularly working out you should ask your doctor what he/she recommends.
  • This time of year I do lots of walking, hiking, swimming and paddle boarding.

    I try to walk and do core yoga exercises. If not take the time to stretch my body with yoga poses in the mornings everyday. Helps with preventing swollen feet after a long day, and helps with digestion and lack of appetite because of fatigue.
