2nd Trimester

Is my baby getting enough nutrients?

I've never been a big eater. Almost anything fills me up, quickly. This morning I ate an egg omelet with cheese (one egg & one slice of cheese) and a cup of milk. Later I ate a yogurt and a banana. So far I've drank two bottles of water. It's almost lunch time, but I feel full! I'm afraid that I'm not eating enough to supply my baby with all the nutrients she needs. And if I eat as recommended, (6-11 grains, 5 veggies and fruits, 3-4 proteins, 3-4 dairies, 6 water bottles) I am going to feel uncomfortably full. I poop about twice a day, so I know it's not constipation. I jog for 30-45 minutes every day. Maybe my baby is taking up "stomach room"..can anyone give me any advice or can you relate?

Thanks, ladies. And gents, if any read this

As long as you are taking your prenatals, I wouldn't worry. Baby will take what it needs from your body. If you are really concerned, talk to your doctor and see what they say.

  • Vitamins. I'm taking a prenatal, DHA (my prenatal doesn't have it), vitamin D, and calcium. I also drink Breakfast Essentials fairly often to get extra nutrients. I get full quickly, too, and don't feel like I'm eating enough but because of the vitamins and BE, I'm not worried about baby getting what he needs.
  • I'm feeling the same way. And since ANY prenatals I take, make me really nauseous and sick, I tend to stay away from them. But there are days where I eat a lot, and days where I hardly eat at all! But everything is fine, and everyone is healthy!
  • You should talk to your doctor. If baby is growing fine and you are measuring belly wise on track you should be fine.
  • Baby is fine. Baby gets everything before you do.
    Thank God for Raid.
