Hi, i found out yesterday that I have PCOS as well and am going in on Tuesday to see what my options are. My SIL took clomid and got pregnant after the 1st round. You can use the search box to see what other threads there are on PCOS. If your Dr. perscribes Clomid, it's important to get monitoring and ultrasounds done. My insurance doesn't cover infertility treatments so I can't go to an RE until i get on DH's plan, so i'll do whatever my OB/GYN says for the 1st two months. I'm pretty sure he'll be suggesting metformin (i have unexplained weight gain) and clomid, so i'll push for ultrasounds even though the OB's normally don't do them. Also, read Taking Charge of Your Fertility, not all PCOS patients have a hard time ovulating, some still ovulate semi-regularly. Temping could determine whether or not you ovulate and could help you make better informed dicisions.

2 bad experiences i know of: a lady at church has PCOS and had a hard time getting and staying pregnant. with her 4th late term miscarriage, they finally prescribed her progesterone to take while pregnant to maintain the pregnancy and she's currently 23 weeks along. She had 3 children already and started having problems when trying for a 4th. My cousin had infertility issues but im not 100% sure what they were. She was perscribed pills (i'm assuming clomid) and got pregnant with triplets but unfortunately could't carry them to term. But keep in mind this is 12 years ago and overseas.
