Stupid Mondays I swear :( The weekends go by way to fast. I am so stinkin exhausted, im not quite sure how I will make it thru the day. I had nausea on and off all day yesterday. Then, our subdivision is so strict that the owner decided to call me at midnight about someone parking on the road, and we needed to move our truck! Funny thing was...it wasnt our honking truck! Grr...I cant wait to move!

** On a good note.. We get to see our little Gummy Bear tomorrow and meet with the doctor!** Anyone else have appointments this week?

  • I am so so very tired today. My toddler was sick this weekend (which is an almost first for us, YAY booby milk!) and he was so restless last night. I chose to go on into work today but almost wish I wouldn't have. Id kill for a nap and a Powerade. Thats all.

@kris10mac what is your favorite? I tried some at my sister in laws last week but couldn't find it in our grocery store. I need a good brand if I'm going to order from Amazon or somewhere. Thanks!!!
  • Gonna have blood drawn this morning for the initial screenings and genetic tests. Super nervous but just gotta think happy thoughts! At least I'm finally in double digits now, hello 10 weeks! :D

This is the kind I have this morning and I really like it. It has a lot of sugar in it but it's really the only thing helping me. And I Just limit to one a day. The zofran didn't even work for my nausea last week. So I'll do whatever I can for a little relief. Especially on a work day.

I just looked and it is on Amazon too!

  • Glad I'm not the only one riding the struggle bus this morning! Weekends go by WAY too quickly, especially when you waste a good part of it feeling like death (like I did, and I'm sure many of you, as well). My biggest complaint right now is a headache that I've had now for three days. Brutal.

skschnake Good luck at your appointment today! Exciting! My next is 7/30 and I'm counting down the days.

  • My only complaint this morning - this gas is killing me, hurts SO bad, I feel like I am dying...wah :(

Have you cut out caffeine? I noticed when I did I had killer headaches all day. I put one sweet tea back in my life a day and I'm feeling ten times better!

I did initially, mostly because of aversion to it, and had horrible headaches! I got over that hump by about 8 weeks (3-4 weeks without caffeine). Then I started feeling a bit less nauseous momentarily and re-introduced one cup of coffee/day. I am not sure if this headache is caffeine related because I did have a cup on Sunday. I'm having my one cup right now and REALLY hoping that I start to feel better. I also thought it may be dehydration so have been trying to drink a lot of water. I broke down and took a Tylenol yesterday but that did nothing, either. Grrrr!

  • I've noticed since I started taking prenatal that my nausea has cut down a lot. I take it at night. Anybody else have this happen? I feel like most people I've spoken to/read on forums that the vitamins make the nausea worse. Thoughts?

Mmmmm. Powerade. That's my shit right now.

I really wish I could get this week long mirgaine gone. I'm literally paralyzed by the pain. But on the plus side of things. 7 more days and I'm free from this hell hole called work forever!
  • @pbtoast Thank ya mam! Im super excited and nervous as all heck! I hope everything is ok. These 4 week stretches between appointments are horrible. Hope your headache goes away soon!

I'm so tired. I had a busy/fun weekend at the beach and I'm paying for it today. I'm counting down the minutes until my lunch break/afternoon nap in my car.

@skschnake I finally have my first ultrasound on Wednesday at 11 weeks. Can't wait!
  • This nausea. Ugh. I have to take a med in the morning on an empty stomach with a big glass of water, then can't eat for 30 minutes. As soon as the water hits my stomach, instant nausea. Gah.

We have our first appt today. I feel strangely indifferent, and while it sounds stupid, I'm worried that this lack of "woohoo!" excitement means things aren't going well. I will feel much better after we get our (hopefully) reassuring ultrasound.

Some prenatals have a GI and/or nausea blend in them. I know mine has ginger, probiotics, and a bunch of other stuff. That might be what's helping.

  • 8 weeks two days ago. morning sickness kicked up a bit after I had a little break this past week. I can't stand to look at food and I can't even put it in my mouth. Last night I tried chicken put pie and threw it all up- yum! I had cereal this morning and brought some lunch and that's probably it for me today. Pregnancy sucks and I hope it goes away in 3 weeks so I can enjoy my grandmothers home cooking when I visit her. Also weight loss seems to be an issue right now. Fun fun fun.
  • Lost all my symptoms over the weekend and am spotting pinkish-red :| Called the OB and I have to go in for a scan tomorrow morning (they said go to the ER if the bleeding gets any worse though). I just had an U/S Thursday and they noticed my guys were about a week-and-a-half small, so now I'm freaked out that I'm having a missed miscarriage... first pregnancy ever, so I have no idea what to expect.

I'm not sure that my prenatals are the reason my nausea has been managable, but I believe taking it at night has worked for me compared to first thing in the morning.

As for me, I'm just struggling staying awake. Spent way too much time lurking on Dec'15 board before bed!

  • Whine: I was on vacation last week and I came back to find out my MIL has told SO many people. When we told her we were pregnant we asked her not to tell anyone. A few weeks later people were congratulating us at church so we told her again, she denied she has told anyone. Now I am so frustrated and my feelings are hurt. Meanwhile, DH doesn't see the big deal.

  • I want to be lazy but I have to get things done today. I don't want to but it is what it is...and my cat wants my breakfast of corn beef and cabbage.
  • 11 wks tomorrow and seem to be turning the corner on MS, but holy heartburn/indigestion/gas. The doc OKed daily tums but I find myself apprehensive to eat at work because crippling stomach pain makes sitting upright at my desk feel like midievil torture.

This is me all day. Not much nausea, but the indigestion is kicking my butt! I literally want to just curl up in a ball and cry until it stops burning. I've found that trying to eat something small every hour or so (string cheese, yogurt, piece of fruit) and skipping a real lunch altogether at work has worked out very well! I've also worked out a nice regimen of tums and gas-x every 6ish hours...especially at work when my ridiculous gas has the potential to provide me with a very embarrassing situation!
  • this NYC weather is blah! It's so hot and the trains are so packed... trying so hard not to puke on the trains! My hips are hurting on and off and cramping - i'm feeling all these twinges.. uterus be stretching!

Also, heartburn has started this past week. Not a horrible symptom (better than nausea, that's for sure!). Other than that... We are just both really excited to be pregnant! Really looking forward to next weekend when we announce this little nugget to our family and lifelong friends (we are hosting a BBQ - and everyone thinks it's just to show off our house since we renovated it! Instead, the house tour will end with... The nursery!)

That's a really cute idea! Our "nursery" is currently a disaster: holes all over the walls, no floor, overall nasty. We have a long way to go in preparation for this gummy bear!

  • @Jilmce19 I will have to try the every couple hour snacking, I HAVE to figure something out!

Ah, thanks for this! I have been eating TUMS often (not daily) and I have been meaning to make sure they were okay during pregnancy so thank you for answering that for me!
